Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: Two recent promo events....
Kind of a slow period again, may not even have that daily Nogi post. Doesn't seem as though there's ever a slow period for Mayu these days, she's easily the busiest actress around. Hopefully will post the recaps later on this week for episodes two and three of her current drama "Suisokukan Garu", don't think there was even a one week gap from when her previous one ended and this one started.
'Pokemon' is really one long running series whether it's for games, movies, TV animes and mangas. Another film is coming out on July 16th and on July 2nd Mayu was at the first screening for it at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Think the voice she does in the anime film is of Satoshi, could be wrong on that but the movie's website is more than useless, the title of it "Pokemon: Magearna".
One thing we'll never see is Mayu dressed anyway but conservatively, that's fine with me as it's okay to see someone who is comfortable with the way she looks like she is. The other event was more of an awards ceremony as Mayu was selected as the 'Natto Queen' for 2016. Forget who it was but there was someone else who I really like that was also the Queen a few years back. The award is given out by the Natto Association of Japan, it's the the biggest honor in the world but think it's a respected one.
July 10th is also 'Natto Day' in Japan, perhaps we'll see her at some event then on that day. Have some superb pics from the ceremony which was held on July 4th and there's also a short video of it.
