Saki Fukuda: A brief reappearance from a huge fave....
Been so few Saki posts the last two years wonder if anyone here remembers who she is? I've never forgotten and do try to search for things to post about her but it's almost always a hopeless cause as there's usually zero happenings for her. There are very few things for today but she's been kind of on my mind recently and knew she deserved to be heard from again. These pics from the 2010 Tokyo Jeweler's Awards show still rank up there as being the best ones I've ever seen and actually could top the list, whewwww.......
It was just two years ago that Saki finished #2 on my top faves list, from 2012-15 she was never out of my top five but since 2015 has kind of disappeared. Now and again she pops up with an activity but for a while was one of the busier actresses and singers around. Saki will be turning 27 in a little over two weeks, won't have a post on that day but will try to have another one at least by the beginning of October.
Saki is a natural for variety shows, always wondered why she hasn't been a host for one or at least appear regularly on a show like she once did. In July Saki traveled to Fukushima to film for a show called 'Summer 2017 Travelers'. She spent the day at the Northeast Safari Park and showed what skills she's accumulated over the years. The show first aired on August 5th and since then has had many repeat showings over Japan.
Saki also appeared on another travel show which aired August 26th to promote Kumamoto, that's where she hails from. Will try to have some screenshots for her next post along with hopefully some from the 'Ultraman Orb' drama. It's now out on DVD but don't think there was an event for it. Think it's also in the process of getting subbed. While not too many recent activities at least her Instagram account is updated often though never enough pics of her dazzling beauty.
One thing Saki has been known for the last few years is her stage work and she's appeared in about ten plays since 2014. Unfortunately they're not things you can post about like dramas but with her talented acting and superb voice she appears in many musicals.
"Secret" is Saki's next play and it'll be opening up on October 19th in Kagushima. The play will be performed in ten cities until mid December and by the poster looks like her role is a big one. Pics here are from a press conference that took place in Tokyo on August 29th, there's also a video after the pics and she comes in about the 3:50 mark.

Saki Fukuda: "Ultraman Orb" news and Instagram pics
Saki finished #1 for my top twenty faves but as you all know it wasn't this one. In 2015 she finished second on the list and she had a real good shot at taking the top spot, least I thought so. But that didn't happen as Saki didn't even make the list, that's what'll happen when you do close to zero for a whole year. Only happenings in 2016 were one stage play that started in May and a few guest appearances on a two dramas, besides that nothing.
Wish I knew what's been going on with Saki these last few years, she's 26 now so think it's time to buckle down and get busier or perhaps think of doing some other kind of career. However I've been such a huge Saki fan for so many years I'd much rather see her get real busy, have a feeling 2017 will be a much better year for her.
It's starting off on the right foot as she's in her first Japanese drama since mid 2014. Not sure if Ultraman shows are true dramas but at least it's a start. This is a spin-off from the "Ultraman Orb" series which aired for most of 2016, think it's a prequel. There were two mini events for the series on December 14th and 27th, the series aired it's first show on the 26th. Not many pics but Saki still looks more than A-OK to me, the drama is a web show which airs on Amazon.
Won't do a recap of the series yet, did watch the first episode though it was unsubbed. Have a feeling it will be subbed so if/when it happens will be recapping the entire series. Saki plays Amate in the show and it's a very big part, her character is some sort of Queen and the first show seemed fairly good as this will be about the fifth Ultraman series I've viewed.
Let's hope this drama jump starts Saki's career, I've really missed her the last few years and she's a fine actress which is why it's a mystery we haven't seen her in more recent shows. Saki does have an Instagram account and updates it quite often. After the pics have a video of the December 27th Ultraman event.
