Most of these episodes have ended off in dramatic style, fittingly the final show had the most dramatic ending of them all. Almost all the action took place took place on the ball field which should make it an easier and shorter recap, most shows we only saw about 5+ minutes of a game but this final show they were on the field for over 22 minutes.
The Polaris team is going for their 18th straight championship, talk about a dynasty and do the Bemars really have any chance of an upset? Naturally you would think no but being a drama may make them the favorites so let's briefly look at what took place during the game. Briefly because don't want to give away everything that happened, if you haven't seen this series yet don't want to spoil it for you.

Just thought of it right now but every game the Bemars have been the home team, that's how we get these dramatic endings with them batting last. The Polaris team has never seen Nanamura's new pitch which has been dubbed 'Denial", the pitch stops just short of the plate and when the batter swings the current from the bat sends the down and so far no batter has even hit a foul ball. In her first at bat the best player from the Polaris team Kirei also went down via a strikeout, don't think she's ever had an at bat without a homer.
It's fine for the Bemars that Nanamura is holding the Polaris team scoreless but on the other hand Kirei has held the Bemars scoreless too, she's been the best female softball pitcher in Japan for a few years now. However the best hitter from the Bemars team Marukyu was able to solve Kirei in one at bat and sent a rocket towards the fence and it appeared as though it would clear it for a homer. The Polaris team can do anything and they somehow were able to make the catch leaving the game scoreless heading into the fifth inning.
That scoreless tie vanished though as Kirei thought of a way to hit Nanamura's pitch and it worked as she cleared the fence by a mile sending giving the Polaris team a 1-0 lead. The way Kirei pitches that should be the only run the team needs to give them another championship. On that pitch Nanamura really hurt her shoulder though, it had been hurting her for some time now but she tried to battle through it but just couldn't go on. However their coach gave her a 'special treatment' in the dugout and she was able to continue pitching. Her pitches weren't as effective but behind her the Bemars made a couple of sparkling defensive plays to keep the score 1-0 heading into the final inning.

In that final inning Kirei quickly got two outs, she had a perfect game up until this point. The third batter of the inning was Marukyu who Kirei walked intentionally, she wanted to end the game facing Nanamaru. And up until that point she was no match for Kirei whiffing twice but in classic fashion was able to use her 'bowling skills' at the plate, first pitch from Kirei was jumped on by Nanamura who hit the ball into the next county it seemed.
The dramatic action doesn't stop there though as though the game was now tied hitting that pitch broke many bones in Nanamura's body, it appeared as she wouldn't be able to make it around the bases. And if she couldn't the game would remain tied going into extra innings but though it took her a few minutes Nanamura was able to crawl the last 90 feet giving the championship to the Bemars.
What now for the Bemars team, will they continue with their playing as s they've saved their favorite park, no reason to remain as a team it seems. Personally I had thought they were all seniors but that's wrong as at the end of the show it came out they're not but don't know what grade they're in. How it came out was that the Bemars met Kirei and Shelly at their fave park, the pair has transferred to the high school the Bemars team goes to and they will be joining them next season on the field. And with that scene this series sadly comes to an end.

Sadly I say because though it may have been too over dramatic and very cheesy at times this was one of the most fun and entertaining dramas in a while. Not a must watch but if you like the group or just watching something different would highly recommend this series, my final grade on it would be an 8.8/10 which is the highest grade I've given out in a while.
Some of you may have heard the news which is that there's going to be a second season of the show, will discuss it more in the next post which has many more screenshots from this episode.
