Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: Even more recent happenings....
This may be Mayu's third post in less than a month, can't recall so many in such a short amount of time like that. May even have another one this weekend as I'm about to start on her current drama "Uchi no Otto was Shigoto ga Dekinai" which started on July 8th. It's getting subbed but just the first episode has been done, once the second show has been subbed will be starting on the recaps. Mayu to me is one of the best actresses around and the top one less than 25 years old as she's now twenty two.
A rare thing is to find mag spreads for Mayu, she does appear in a fair amount but the sets are never large enough. Have two spreads for today but they sadly only total five pics, first two are from the September edition of Diamond Zai while the rest are from the August 8th issue of Prime.
Mayu is doing the voice of Cruise Ramirez in the new "Cars/Crossroad" film. Last post had over twenty interview pics she did for the movie, here's three more from the Line Blog site.
The film opened on July 15th and has done very well at the box office. It's first two days it took in over 300 million yen, the competition is much tougher in Japan due to so many foreign movies. On July 25th there was a thank you celebration for the film at the Toho Cinemas in Nihonbashi.
Even dressed in a yukata Mayu to me easily beats 98+% of the gals out there, she's truly one underrated beauty. Plenty of stupendous pics from the event with most of the main cast in attendance including some eleven year old pro driver(!!) named Juju. After the pics check out a video of the event.
