Mayu Matsuoka: Few recent happenings

 Mayu has a drama currently airing titled 'Sono 'Okodawari', Watashi ni mo Kure yo", doesn't roll off the tongue too easily. Just started on the series today and will be posting recaps for the episodes starting tomorrow, it's really kind of a wacky and strange show which is a bit difficult to explain. Will have all the info on it tomorrow and here's a few screenshots from the first two episodes.

 Have mentioned it before but don't think there's a gal around who is more adorable than Mayu, she could be in a league of her own. Pics here are from a new interview for the drama that cam e out on April 24th for Sankei.

 Never enough Mayu mag spreads, maybe one of the reasons is that she's quite conservative but to me that's one of the traits I like about her. Small one here with just two pics from the April 26th issue of SPA! followed by a much bigger set from WPB #19-20.

 "Chihayafuru" is a two part movie with the first one coming out on March 19th, second part was released Friday. Mayu doesn't have the lead role but she does have a fairly big part in the films, these pics here are from a special screening that took place on April 20th.

 Bit of a big post and wish we had many more for her like this. Pics here are from Friday's premiere of the film which took place at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills, couldn't find a video of the event but do have the movie's trailer below.

Mayu Matsuoka: An introduction....

 It's good to have some 'new blood' or faces here, think sometimes I get into a rut, a good one at least, of posting about the same people all the time but then again they are my faves and I do follow them much more closely. This is Mayu's first post here and am planning on doing a few more in the near future, before I forget she turned 20 exactly two months ago. She does have the lead in a new drama starting up this Saturday, more info on that below plus it's one that I'll be checking out even if it doesn't have subs.
 Seeing how this is Mayu's first ever post here there will be quite a few old things to catch up on, have noticed her in a few older dramas and even though she hasn't had huge roles she does have a face which kind of sticks with you in a good way. She doesn't have too many mag spreads but there's so many pics of her doing various things, will be getting to those here and in future posts but this first small spread is from Weekly Ascii #935 from 2013.

 Mayu is going to be in at least three movies this year and while she doesn't have the lead role in any of them she does have fairly big parts, think I'm going to check out a few of her older films as she's been in more films than dramas. Just five pics here from the premiere of her last movie "Samulife" which came out on February 28th.

 Last thing as I need to spread everything out over a few posts is that Mayu will have her first lead role in a drama starting up on the 18th, series is called "She" and will be airing on Fuji-TV. It's only going to be a five episode series but looks to be an interesting mystery drama, the site address for the show is www.fujitv.co.jp/she/index.
