Once again some terrible ratings for these two episodes and to me viewers missed a very suspenseful series. Did some checking and it aired against "My Secret Terius" which often had ratings over 10% so that and because this drama aired on KBS2 are the biggest reasons for the dismal ratings but then again perhaps most shows on KBS2 get these kinds of ratings. Let's get to the action and there was quite a bit of it in these two shows though not nearly as much in the final pair of episodes.
One question that was never answered in these final four shows was what does Woo-Hye have against Da-Ii? Her aim is to kill everyone he loved though it was never explained why, she had a long history with Da-Ii stretching back five years when he was in the Army. We ended the previous show and began this one with Woo-Hye aiming to kill another person who Da-Ii cared about, that was his agency partner Sang-Sub who she stabbed severely in the final seconds of episode 28.
That's where this show picked up from and Woo-Hye calmly walked away from her evil deed as she knew everyone would be more concerned about saving Sang-Sub than in capturing her. Woo-Hye was right as she was about to leave the agency office but just as she did she was nabbed by Da-Ii as
Yeo-Wool was tending to Sang-Sub, she also notified the Sopo police of the tragedy. Da-Ii then proceeded to drag her out of the office, not sure what plan he had but to hurt her was #1 on his mind.
Woo-Hye had kept saying over and over through these two shows and the the previous two that you can't kill her. She's already been killed before and somehow her soul is keeping her current body alive, Da-Ii knows the only way to kill Woo-Hye was by her entering another body which just may happen. As Da-Ii had Woo-Hye cornered on the stairs the police had arrived rather promptly, the huge team was led by the young detective Jung-Dae who had been part of the team looking for Da-Ii's live body. If some of it sounds confusing would recommend reading some of the previous recaps.

Though her body is rapidly rotting away Woo-Hye's powers are stronger then ever. Jung-Dae had his pistol aimed right at her head when Woo-Hye was able to take control of his entire squad. Jung-Dae didn't have that pistol pointed at her too long as his whole team proceeded to point their guns at him! Woo-Hye then gave Jung-Dae the ultimatum to drop his gun or they would fire at him. Woo-Hye's powers may have become stronger though so hadn't Da-Ii's and his are much more powerful.
As you can see above in the middle screenshot he was able to whisk the guns out the detective's hands, his power comes somehow comes via Da-Ii using his inner emotions. Just when it appeared Woo-Hye would finally be nabbed tragedy struck as one of the guns that fell to the grown discharged and ended up hitting Jung-Dae in the stomach! Now two people Da-Ii cared about so much are down for the count and unless help arrived soon both would soon be dead. Luckily help did arrive for the injured men but it was after Woo-Hye was able to re-enter the agency office.
Yeo-Wool had always thought she was the only person who could kill Woo-Hye, that may have been true at one time but events have changed that. However Yeo-Wool still wanted to be the person who finally destroyed the devil Woo-Hye, she managed to get her into a locked room with Da-Ii fuming outside of it. He knew what Yeo-Wool's plan was which was to have Woo-Hye's soul enter her body, that plan was one Da-Ii wanted to do too. Woo-Hye also wanted to enter Yeo-Wool's body as her current one doesn't have much longer to live, Woo-Hye has known Yeo-Wool's body had been the perfect fit for her for a while.
In the locked room the pair talk on and on for a while, seemed as though Yeo-Wool was talking to set up Woo-Hye in some sort of trap which never took place. The only way for a soul or spirit to enter another body is for the person, Woo-Hye, to kill herself and then immediately enter the next body. That Woo-Hye did as she took out a knife and somehow was able to use enough force to stab herself to death. Those few seconds after a death is the only time you can kill a soul before it enters another body, Yeo-Wool knew that but was too late in reacting to Woo-Hye's death. Jumping a bit ahead of myself but Woo-Hye was successfully able to move her soul into Yeo-Wool's body.

There was a huge beam of light when Woo-Hye's soul entered Yeo-Wool's body, everyone in and outside of the building saw it though at the time nobody knew what it meant. As mentioned Da-Ii's powers are stronger than ever as he pointed the palm of a hand at the locked door and was able to break it down, why didn't he do that sooner? Upon entering the room he saw Yeo-Wool bent over the dead body of Woo-Hye, dead from her self inflicted stab wound though Yeo-Wool had said she was the one who killed Woo-Hye.
Seemed as though finally the creature Woo-Hye was sent to her death but with 3 1/2 episodes to go we know it was too early. Da-Ii had brought Yeo-Wool back to her home to settle down after such a terrifying ordeal. We didn't learn about it until the next recap but that scene at Yeo-Wool's apartment was when Da-Ii began having his doubts on whether it was the real Yeo-Wool or was she possessed?
His thoughts we actually learn more about in the next recap but may throw some of them in now as this recap may be shorter than I expected. What Da-Ii had noticed about Yeo-Wool was her general demeanor such as cleaning. Yeo-Wool was a bit of a neat freak yet when Da-Ii suggested she start going back to doing her normal routines such as cleaning Yeo-Wool had acted like she had never done that activity before. There were other minor differences in her personality but the clincher was when Yeo-Wool put her dead sister's hearing aid in.
That device had a special power which only Yeo-Wool had been able to access, it allowed her to view what events happened in the past at the location she's presently at. Yet when she tried using the hearing aid all she heard was a loud noise and quickly had to remove it from her ear. That same thing happened once to Da-Ii, that may have been the moment he knew he was in the room with Woo-Hye. May have discussed it a bit here and there above but after that scene there was a long flashback of when Woo-Hye died which I already talked about. But also it was intercut with a conversation between Da-Ii and Chae-Won as he's let her know it's not the real Yeo-Wool among them. They set up a plan to trap her though the full details weren't revealed until episode 31.

All of the previous recaps had five 'segments' to them, this one will only have four which may make it an easier read. There's a few reasons for it being shorter and the main one is the final ten minutes of the second episode. Those ten minutes were also the first ten of the next episode though much of it was from a different perspective so no sense in saying one thing when it actually may not have happened. Plus the next recap would definitely been the shortest of all so you could almost say the first 1/3 of the next one is a continuation of this recap.
Final scene is a tad longish as I said at ten minutes or possibly more. The setting is the hospital where's Da-Ii's live body is still in a coma. Remember that though he can now be seen Da-Ii is still a ghost and needs to return to his live body at 1:00 am every night. It's getting later at night, Yeo-Wool suggests they go to the hospital so she can be there to protect him overnight. Yeo-Wool, who is actually Woo-Hye, is playing right into Da-Ii's plan.
At the hospital were also the injured Sang-Sub and Jung-Dae, but thanks to the attorney Baek they've been transferred out before Woo-Hye made her appearance. The pair are still alive though Da-Ii had told Woo-Hye they're both dead, she didn't quite believe him so she headed for their room.Their beds were empty and it's a good thing they had been moved as Woo-Hye had her trusty knife with her. As she was checking the room out Da-Ii appeared behind her, now there's no doubt his suspicions about Yeo-Wool's body being inhabited by Woo-Hye were correct.
The final two or so minutes took place back in the room where Da-Ii's real body was lying in bed. Da-Ii whipped out a pistol and pointed it at Woo-Hye, drop the knife or I'll shoot he screamed.
Woo-Hye didn't obey his order which left Da-Ii no choice but to fire which he did. However he aimed away and there was a good reason for that. All Da-Ii wanted to to do was to scare Woo-Hye out of Yeo-Wool's body, that shot did the trick as Woo-Hye's spirit was now in front of his eyes.
Woo-Hye's spirit form was very weak though and she couldn't use her powers to combat Da-Ii. The time was approaching 1:00 am and Da-Ii quickly rushed over to Woo-Hye and held her in his arms. Didn't know he could do it but when the time came to re-enter his live body Da-Ii disappeared.... also gone was Woo-Hye as it appeared both spirits have entered his human body. On that note will end the recap here and as said much of the last two paragraphs gets repeated in the next episode.

Never have done a top ten list for a year's dramas. Reason for that is because I watch so many well after the fact. This year watched about twenty dramas for their first time yet eight of them were from the years 2014-17 and my drama watching has been that way for years. Just so hard watching all of the ones I'd like to right away so sometimes it takes well over a year to get to them.
For now would say this series is my #1 for 2018 though there will probably be at least five more I'll be watching from this year. Up next is a short four episode Japanese drama from 2018, after that is the 2015 Korean series "Missing Noir: M" and am looking forward to that show. Plenty of screenshots as usual to help you follow the story better though they don't go in exact order like the other recaps as there was a long flashback towards the end but you'll be able to figure it out.
