Jin Ki-Joo: Her wondrous.... 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 37𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 post....

 

 It's early in the year but could this end up being the least viewed post for 2026?! I sure hope not as I did work for a while on this and though it may not be too popular these are the kinds of posts I enjoy doing the most. It's always been difficult to do posts for my favorite Korean actresses and became close to impossible after 2021, the entertainment industry is so different in Korea compared to Japan for actresses and Pop singers. So because of that you've seen so few posts for my top Korean actresses save for one and I just reminded myself she has a birthday in two days.**** That birthday will be for Kang Ha-Na and she too will be hitting the age of 37, I never noticed the dates before. Which is of Ki-Joo celebrating her 37th birthday on January 26th so what were the odds my top two Korean actresses were born only four days apart?! Sure very slim and the one actress who I had been doing posts for is Ha-Na, I'll try having something next week for her.

 That is a neat birthday fact and can't believe I had never noticed that until now. But one thing I've been noticing for almost eight years is Ki-Joo 😍 and think her first post was done in 2018, she had a somewhat decent amount of posts like this one up until 2021 and then they petered out for her and almost every other actress. But did recap two of Ki-Joo's dramas since 2021 and am currently doing that for her last show to date. I am going to try my darndest to have so many more posts for her this year and Ki-Joo will have the lead female role in two upcoming dramas so hope I don't OD on her! Which wouldn't be a bad thing as Ki-Joo 😍 is in my top five all time for favorite women and that third All Time list will be done this Summer. For the first two lists never included any Korean women and probably won't do so for list #3 but have time to think about that as the countdown wouldn't begin until August 1st.

 This may be the oldest birthday post I've done for someone but if you've been noticing seems most women I post about these days are 30+ in age. So many of the Korean actresses I've posted about got a late start to their acting career with the biggest reason most attended college. That's Ki-Joo's story too as she didn't begin acting until the year 2015 when she was 26 in age, that's older than any other actress I've posted about. But Ki-Joo has made up for lost time and her first starring role was in the 2018 drama "Come and Hug Me' which was a decent show. I've seen that and recapped some of the series but her 2019 drama was what really made me swoon for Ki-Joo!!!! That show was "The Secret Life of My Secretary" and did recap all sixteen episodes, it was my #1 drama for 2019!!!! Then in 2023 she accomplished that feat again as her series "My Perfect Stranger was my top show for that year! Also not to be missed is Ki-Joo's 2021 movie "Midnight", she played the role of a deaf woman who had witnessed a murder and that was one suspenseful movie.

 Posts for Korean actresses have always received so fewer views than the posts for J-Pop Idols which does make sense. But I was just looking at Ki-Joo's older posts and all have over 700 views which is not front page news but it means viewers have been checking out the older posts for her and other actresses. A birthday post is no different than a regular post but do try to make them a bit larger than normal. For today have about a hundred photos but could have had more but let me hold on to things so there can be a few more posts for Ki-Joo this year. A rarity for Korean actresses is of them having any sort of gravure pics and there are none for today which is fine by me. For doesn't Ki-Joo 😍 look so dazzling in that above pic and all of the others you'll be seeing for today? That she does and even though Ki-Joo looked like a few trillion Won before the age of thirty she's really blossomed since hitting that age and to me looks better than almost every gravure model or J-Pop star I post about!

 For this post will have a little bit of many things, some of them are brand new but others could be many years old and bet not many reading this have seen those pics before. As far as older birthdays go this was all I could find which were at her IG page, Ki-Joo looks quite partied out in the third photo!!!!

 In the "My Current Watches" series talk about what dramas and films I've viewed or am still watching. One has been "Undercover High School" which has been Ki-Joo's last drama to date, have talked about the show up until it's tenth episode. Next week will discuss what takes place in the final two episodes and have been delaying watching them for the drama has been so terrific. It began off slow but by the fourth episode really gained some steam and it may end up being my top show for 2025. In that post will also be recapping what took place in the final four episodes of "Liar Game" from 2014, that series surprised me with how good it was.

 Ki-Joo played a teacher in the above drama, she also be a teacher in her next drama "Teach You a Lesson" which doesn't have a start date but it'll probably air in the Spring. So will recap that show and her other series scheduled for late 2026 plus one or two other shows. Ki-Joo's most popular role was in the drama "Homemade Love Story" which aired from September 2020 until March 2021 for fifty episodes! I briefly recapped the first two shows and they were decent, said I would get back to the drama but never did. But am working on getting the show and it's length did turn me off but seeing as how I can't get enough of Ki-Joo will soon dive back into the series! In Japan the most popular shows are the Asadoras which are morning dramas and air for 20-26 weeks, an episode airs five mornings and last for fifteen minutes. In Korea the most popular dramas are their weekend dramas that air on Saturday and Sunday evenings, the ratings for "Homemade Love Story" blew away all the competition. I've gotten away from recapping individual episodes for an entire series as it became too time consuming. So for this series will try something different, if it works will do it for other dramas. Which is to have four episodes in one post, can easily give enough details in three paragraphs and that's how I've been doing it in that ongoing "My Current Watches" series so let me experiment on that extremely long series but wouldn't start on it for another month.

 There is one other series I haven't viewed featuring Ki-Joo and that's "From Now On, Showtime!" and can't give a reason why I haven't viewed it. The series looks interesting and is a bit off the wall, will get to it but need to watch a few others first. All these are from last year and noticed she's not much of a social media person which to me is a plus. Couple times as of late have talked about how so many of my favorite women 30+ in age have never been married, that's the case for Ki-Joo. After Mai Shinuchi if I had to choose one woman here who I would want as a girlfriend it'd be Ki-Joo!!!!😍

 One of the biggest difference between Korean and Japanese actresses is the amount of magazines they appear in, gals from Korea are in so fewer plus the spreads are much smaller. Then again actresses from Korea make more $$ because dramas are longer and often air in other countries so they don't have to do as much non-acting work as their peers from Japan. Ki-Joo has been in a decent number of magazines but the spreads are way too tiny, this set from the October 2021 issue of Nylon had never been posted and how about that first photo..... WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!

 That above set hadn't been posted before but this spread from the October 2020 issue of Harper's Bazaar had been but sure all have forgotten about it or have never seen it.

 Ki-Joo hasn't done much modeling but have such a super duper set of pics from the Zishen clothing line and aren't they so stupendous in their own way? Most of the modeling pics are from the 2021 Zishen Autumn collection but my favorites are the top four from the Spring of 2022.

 Will end off with some two sets of event photos as to me that's where Ki-Joo really shines.... er, more so as she shines so brightly to me 😍 am wearing sunglasses to type this post!!!! Below are from September 2018 or about 7 1/2 years ago and the 13th "Seoul Drama Awards" show, Ki-Joo didn't win an award but could have for being the best dressed!

 Will end off with some truly sizzling pics and no other photos from this year may top them! On December 31st a scorching Ki-Joo attended the 2025 "MBC Drama Awards" show and this time she did win an award which was for her role in the "Undercover High School" series. Whew, Ki-Joo has never looked more desirable and after the pics is a video from the event, she certainly blows away any gravure model and Idol who are a decade younger! The video also has Ki-Joo's costar from the drama plus added in a mini one from the 2018 MBS show as Ki-Joo looked so amazing....
