Yui Kobayashi: Her quest to dominate the Galaxy is unstoppable!!!!

 

 I've gaped at the top photo too many hours to count, it's been my #1 picture for at least six years and should I embed it on my gravestone?!!!! Don't know about Yui's 😍 quest to dominate the Galaxy being unstoppable but she sure is number one in my universe of Japanese women and may wait until next year to make that truly official. Had talked about beginning the countdown for my third 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list in August, the other two were done in 2018 and 2022 as I think four years is a large enough gap between them. But I'm a bit behind on things so then was thinking of September as a start date but that would mean the end of October is when it would be finished. That's only five weeks before the yearly faves list would begin and don't want to have such lists so close together. So was thinking that the yearly list will go on as scheduled and the All Time list would be pushed back to next Spring and a little extra time may be extremely beneficial. Will have more of those thoughts in an upcoming 'My Current Watches' post and will have at least one Japanese film for the next one.

 For that All Time list Yui 😍 has been #1 since last Autumn though her margin over second place isn't too huge. This makes it seventeen consecutive months with a post for Yui and she holds the all time record with 22, think seventeen ties her for second place. So if these keep up until January a new record will be set and unless something overly tragic happens that old record will definitely be broken. But would like to see more than one post a month which is all that Yui has had this year, three months in 2025 had two posts but not so for 2026 though after that overly slow period in 2024 can't complain about having just one post a month.

 A mini problem has been finding things to discuss about Yui which are brand new for here. She's now up to 115 posts and considering most are solo ones since 2020 is quite impressive and have run out of things to talk about. It's been almost a year since Yui began her solo musical career using the name of Yousti, she had a mini album last August and a single four months ago. So wonder if she'll be having any other releases this year, the songs on both things mentioned were good but am hoping she has a had an infusion of Rock and Roll blood since that last release! Yui had the lead role in a short film that came out at the end of May and I want to see an increase her acting roles, she had a large role in three dramas from 2020-23 but except for that newish under the radar movie there's been no other roles.

 Have a little bit of many things for today and can think of only one other woman whose posts may be larger than Yui's. Have about thirty new photos since her last post that was done a month ago, some older pictures that are new for here and some older things that have been seen here but have been forgotten about. Yui never posts many photos at her IG/X/Yousti pages but when she does they're all so superb, usually she has a dozen a month. However she's had ZERO since that last post and what's up with that?! She did have a fan club get together at the end of June so perhaps she's been posting pictures at that site. But it's not the end of the world as there's so many Yui photos from Keya's 'Diary' group blog I've been wanting to post because most are so fabulous! Have a small batch of them for today, five have been posted before but the other nine are brand new for here and most are from 2018/19.

 Am running out of older Keya group cards that are new for here so for today have a mix of seen and unseen cards! The ones that have been posted before are Summer cards from 2016/17, there are so many for the next two years which will be in her next post. The others are brand new for here and tried to include 'true group cards' which means with other members, the bottom five are for AEON and Keya did so many commercials for the credit card company.

 It's been a while since a regular Yui magazine spread and will we ever see another? She had more than any other Keya member from 2018-21 but so few since then but mag spreads did decrease for most J-Pop Idols over the last few years, especially for those who don't do gravure modeling. What I've noticed is that most of her spreads tended to come out in the Spring and there's very few for Summer. But did find an older July 2021 spread for Yui that was for With and she was a model for that site/magazine for five years.

 Have a pair of ultra super duper new sets of photos and one activity that Yui has continued on with since leaving Keya is appearing at those large fashion shows. Well, not all are massive or have a lot of media there such as today as that's when she appeared at the 'Tokyo Girls Collection' Summer show in Niigata, that's 170 miles north of Tokyo. These smaller fashion shows don't get the media coverage as the ones in larger cities but least the photos from the show of Yui were terrific and she did take two strolls in the catwalk. Yui will also be at the next two TGC shows which will be in August 16th and September 26th.

 Yui no longer models for the With site but since March 2023 has been a model for andGirl. For a while there weren't too many new photos at their site but luckily that's really changed the last three months, she had one new modeling pic a day for the entire month of June! This superb set covers the period of June 14th to the 27th, there's at least a dozen more fabulous new modeling photos which will be in her next post. As you can see in many of the photos June is the rainy month of the year and who wouldn't want to share an umbrella with Yui....😍

 Will end off here and often for a finale like to have a huge amount of utterly perfect and alluring photos of Yui.😍 If she never has anymore gravure pictures in the future my life won't end but will confess that I'd love to see a few newer ones, her second and possibly final photobook was released almost four years ago. For her musical career as Yousti Yui has a YT channel though hasn't uploaded a new video for two months. After the sizzling pictures is such an entertaining video that was for the making of the "Day Dreamer" PV and I highly recommend viewing the fun video as we get to see Yui as she usually is in real life.
