Erika Toda: Shoten in Michiru no Mi no ue Banashi episode 10 screenshots

And here we are to look at the finale of Erika's latest drama, been a really could show up until now but could it hold it's edginess for the last episode? Previous episode ended up with Michiru running away from Tokyo and really everyone she knew and ended up being stuck in the middle of nowhere to be befriended by an older man who was a bus driver and took her in for the night once he saw what kind of mess she was in. The bus driver's name was Kouzuki who was to be her future husband and who had been the main storyteller throughout the drama, the two of them hit it off quite well and Michiru ended up staying and helping out in his mother's small cafe plus also living in their house. They got along so well that Michiru ended up breaking down and trusting him enough where she told him everything, from how she got the 200 million yen lottery ticket to all the killings that Takei had done to 'protect' her, though quite taken back at first Kouzuki grew even more attached to her and before you knew it they had gotten married and were expecting a child. But the way Michiru's life has gone things couldn't end that smoothly and they didn't as Takei has suddenly come back into her life, he didn't threaten her but did threaten Kouzuki as Takei had somehow discovered that he had killed his previous wife and buried her behind the bus station. Kouzuki had gone along at first with the threat which was for him to kill himself within 3 days but he didn't go through with it and instead went to turn himself in confessing to the murder of his wife but also giving the police all the details about the murders that Takei had committed. Story sort of ends there as Kouzuki is sent away but none of the details were given, in a voice over he explained that the pregnant Michiru had waited for him and eventually they did get back together again but when or where or a few other things about them never were explained so the drama ends off with Michiru reading Kouzuki's farewell letter to her and asking him to wait for him which is what happened.

And so it ended on that note, just seemed it could have been a bit better, for instance what happened to Takei then, did the police nab him or did he just disappear? And what about Michiru's family and coworkers, they had so many suspicions about her like about the lottery ticket plus what happened to her fiancee. With episodes that are only 28 minutes long they do have to zip through things too quickly, would have been much better if this finale was just a bit longer, many things could have been answered and think the ending may have been a bit more satisfying. Still ended up being a must watch, best drama for the first quarter and seeing what kind of shows are coming up for the next quarter means this will probably end up being number one for the first half of the year, but of course one must watch this because of Erika who once again gave such an amazing performance, looked so much different than her other shows but truly just as good so no doubt if you're a fan of hers this is a must see and if you're not then maybe this drama will hopefully turn you into a fan, will give this a final rating of a 9.4/10, very highly recommended.
