Yui Ichikawa: Her mesmerizing "Hatachi" photobook scans.... a repost....

 

 Appropriate time for the above pic and in all honesty from about 2008-12 not sure there was a woman who I would have wanted more than her to come down my chimney! 😍 This unnamed series featuring my older favorite actresses and gravure models is winding down but it should continue on for a few more weeks, do have to say I've been very pleased with the amount of views these posts have received. Was unsure if they would as the books, magazine spreads and other pics are around twenty years old but seems those women still have many fans here. But will try to keep this series going for longer than a month as there has to be some older actresses who I have forgotten about, of course there are but did they also do a lot of gravure modeling on the side? 

 One other reason for this series was to clean up some older posts, in a few the photos were no longer viewable. But in the case of this and other books/pictorials what I used to do at often was to split them up into a few posts which I should have never done. This was a large book so put the pics into three posts(!) and doing that does make it harder to view the photos. So deleted those other three posts and put all of the pics into one. Another reason for doing reposts is that I enjoy taking trips down memory lane as most of these older posts have been forgotten about, some were so so terrific they deserve to be in the spotlight again even if it's just for a few days.

 Speaking of doing gravure modeling on the side Yui did so much of that from 2001 to 2006, just here and there after that but her top two photobooks were in the 2010's!!!! "Hatachi" was released on February 15, 2006 by the Young Jump magazine and that was a week after Yui's 20th birthday. She didn't do nearly as much gravure modeling after this as she concentrated on her acting career and for the most part think she made the right decision. This book is split up into two parts, the first are outtake pics from Yui's photo shoots for the magazine and also any books she had for them. Part one is the first 68 pics below and you can see how she looked a bit younger, part two are the other 68 photos with the above four also being from the book making the grand total 140 pictures. I personally think the second half of the book is much better as Yui was a bit older and the pics were all brand new, she had traveled to Mexico for the photo shoot. Will try to do a regular post for Yui as she did appear in a Young Jump mag earlier this year to help them celebrate their 45th anniversary and of all things she was their cover girl! The goal is to have that post in six weeks when she hits the age of 39 but may also do another repost(s?) for an older book but as of now am undecided about that.
