Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Nozomi Sasaki: Umi no Ue no Shinryoujo drama episode 8 recap
Glad I've only watched half the episodes to date, this really isn't a good drama, it's bearable though but does have a good cast so it should have been better but with the plot for this series it never was going to be too good. One real big plus for this show is the guest stars they've had, Nozomi was in this episode as you can tell by the title, every episode has had a top notch actress which Dr. Kota sort of falls in love with. Actually this episode is a bit different as he doesn't fall for the young, attractive girl as the story this time revolves around his assistant perhaps being in love.
Noburo is Dr. Kota's assistant and one of the remote islands they are visiting has a young woman who he once had a huge crush on, as a matter of fact he still does and before Kota meets her he talks him out of even attempting to go out with her. Noburo's friend's name is Aki and she also had the same feelings for him as he did for her. The reason they never got together as he was too shy to ever say anything and eventually they went their separate ways, him to be a doctor and her to stay and help her father out in his bookstore.
For the past 3 years Aki has been going out with someone but told Noburo that the relationship had ended, he believes her but in reality they are still seeing each other. He's heavily in debt due to his business failing and Aki sort of cons Noburo into giving her as much money as she tells him it's to help her father who needs to go to the hospital. Well that was a lie as she was going to give the money to her boyfriend to get him out of debt, Noburo learned the truth from Aki's sister but didn't ask for the money back, deep down he just wanted her to be happy regardless of who she was with.
In the ending Aki's boyfriend ends up fracturing his leg, Noburo sucks up his hidden jealous feelings and helps Kota in the surgery room. Aki ended up feeling so guilty over that and the way she conned the money out of Noburo that she ended up returning the money to him and though her boyfriend still had the debt she said that was their problem and would stick with him regardless of it. She and her boyfriend end up leaving the island, the sneak Noburo secretly gave her back all the money by stashing it into a book that he had borrowed from her, a happy and tearful ending.
True I don't like writing long reviews, this drama makes that easy as it's one of the most simpler ones in the past few years, yes there's a semi-plot but not still not all that much happens. Actually if there were some better dramas for this season would have ended up watching one of them but it's a very weak Fall season except for perhaps 3 or 4 series. Will probably just end up watching the finale of this drama to see how it ends up so will be back in a few weeks with a recap of that show, hopefully there will be another really good guest star for the last episode. And speaking of guest stars have many screenshots of Nozomi in the next post.
