Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Kasumi Arimura: "Somebody" movie screening pics and more....

Unsure if I'll be doing a top ten list again at the end of the year or if it happens what kind of lists they'll be. Last year there was just one top ten list for everyone, if I decide to do another one thinking of having two lists which would be one for actresses such as Kasumi and the other for Idols. Then again could combine the two but have a bit of time to before my brain has to start doing something it doesn't do often which is to think.
Brought that up as Kasumi didn't make that top ten list but just missed as she would have been eleventh or twelfth. This year though a top ten placement is assured. upon further reflection she should have made the list last year. Few new happenings such as the film mentioned above but will start out with one new mag spread which is from the November issue of With.

"N@anamino" is the Japanese title for the film. Have really enjoyed most of Kasumi's films and "Biri Girl" is certainly the best of them though all are worth viewing at least once. Can't really say the same for her dramas as the last few have been so-so at best, they've been way too slow and boring which is the opposite of her films. Here's two posters for the "Somebody" movie along with a few pics from the film.

The film will be released on October 15th and today a super duper(as usual) looking Kasumi was at a screening for the movie in Tokyo, the screening was a 'female only' event. The film is about five college students who are about to graduate and the difficulties they're having finding jobs and moving on in the world. Doesn't sound exciting but the trailer for it which was in her last post looked fairly interesting, of course I'll end up watching it once it gets released on this side of the world.

Have one final new thing which isn't the two pics that came out last year. Kasumi has been promoting Wicca watches for a few years now and she was featured in a short film for them which came out on August 26th. You can view it below as she definitely brings the word adorable to a new level plus I'm sure many other superlative words.
