Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Han Hyo-Joo: 'Folli Follie' Save Your Christmas promo event pics and CM
Have mentioned that December and January is a slow stretch in Japan for the entertainment industry. Not so in Korea as there may be too many happenings to keep up with, my fault for not posting about any of them until now. And it's double my fault for not doing any Hyo-Joo posts for such a long time, will make it up to her fans as she seemed to be at most of those happenings plus there's a few other recent things to post about her.
Never did finish the recaps for her "W" drama, just went up to the 11th episode. Wanted to wait for the last five shows to air, watch them in a row and post those five recaps. As her fans may know and Hyo-Joo surprisingly does have many here, never did the recaps for those final five episodes. Don't want to re-watch them for the screenshots but will say the "W" was the drama of the year. Watched five or so Korean dramas last year and all were solid but nothing beat that drama, don't know if I can recommend a series more than that one.
At the MBC drama awards last week Hyo-Joo won the best actress award for her role in the drama, will have a post on that ceremony coming up later this week. Hmmmm, maybe I will watch the final five episodes again and then recap them as I was just skimming through the recaps I've already done and that is a drama that needs to be watched at least once more.
On to the main reason for this post which is about a 'Folli Follie' event that was held on December 15th at the Lotte department store in Sogong-dong, Seoul. The occasion was a fan signing event along with a gift exchange plus they donated 10 million won to the 'Korean Compassion' campaign. Hyo-Joo was involved in the campaign which was called 'Save Your Christmas' and she's worked with the company for a while. At the event the way she looked simply left me (still)going wowowowowowowowow and a few others may agree. One other FF thing after these beyond incredible pics.
For the campaign Hyo-Joo also had a CM that was released back in November and have that video after these pics. Top ones are some new ones for Folli Follie while the others were from the making of the CM.
