Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: '67th Kohaku' pics and video
January tends to be a slower period for happenings so don't be too alarmed if there's not as many posts the first few weeks of this year. However it's a rare occasion when a few days go by with no Nogi posts so while others out there may be taking a break sure the group will just have a few hours of down time. But it's a good time to catch up on some oldies or other things which get put on the back burner, still need to finish the group's series for 2016 cards.
The graduation date for Nanami is getting too near for comfort, tomorrow makes just seven weeks until that sad event will be taking place. Still can't believe she's retiring completely from the entertainment biz but she has said her health isn't improving so perhaps she'll stick to her word and we'll never hear from her again.
But her health is the most important issue for her and it's the main reason she's graduating so we all understand the why of her decision. At the show Nanami was chosen to participate in a short Kendama display, had never heard that word but you can see here what it means.
This was the group's second appearance on the 'White and Red Singing Contest' show which airs New Years Eve on NHK. Last year the group sang an oldie but this year they performed their current hit "Sayonara no Imi", wonder who will have the center position for the song after her February 20th graduation concert? Maybe no one will and they'll retire the song, wonder if they did that with "Harujion ga Sakukoro"?
Have their final X-Mas concert which aired on December 9th, haven't watched it yet but will let you know if they perform that song. On to some fabulous pics and truly the group has never looked better, it's helping that the members are now getting older and very few Senbatsu members are younger than 23. Have a video of the show after the pics and seeing as how it's been up for a few days and has over 200 K views it may stay up for a while.... edit, it's been deleted now about four days after this post.

ReplyDeleteIt's the Senbatsu members, it's a 130 minute show which is much shorter than their birthday concerts. Got the show at 'aidoru-online' which is the new name for Hello Online, it may also be at JPopsuki.
