AKB's eighth album "Thumbnail" naturally topped the charts in it's first week out selling 609,000 copies. Quite impressive as even Nogi can't come close to that number but it is the lowest first week sales for an album since 2011. So many popular members have left since then of course the sales are eventually going to go down, in a way kind of think of AKB these days as a cover group. Say that because only 3-4 members have been there a while and at concerts or on TV shows the group still performs those old tunes which made the group so popular in the first place. Except for those 3-4 members done performing the tunes had anything to do with them.
Though she won't be turning twenty until later on this year Juri is someone who has been with the group for a while and she'll be celebrating her sixth anniversary this April. Most new members since 2011 don't do much for me though Juri is different, plan on keeping up with her happenings and will have one more post for her older mag spreads. She plays the character Iwashi on the "Cabasuka Gakuen" drama, just watched episodes seven and eight earlier. Hopefully will finish off the last two shows tomorrow and will post about all four this weekend.
Juri looks second best in the show, hard to top Jurina and being second is quite a feat considering how many '48' members are in the show. Have a few older spreads today but starting off with an ultra fabulous set of Juri pics from the January 17th issue of Manga Action.
