Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Masami Nagasawa: "Sing" movie press conference pics
These pics aren't nearly as exhilarating as the ones from the opening night of "Cabaret"....
.... but not many in the world are. Been many of these events lately for my faves, hopefully that's a good sign that their elongated vacations are over and we'll be seeing much more of them.
Masami has been in the "Cabaret" play since January 11th, it opened in Tokyo and is now on the road performing in other major cities. Think it's run will be ending sometime in mid March.. No new dramas planned for Masami yet this year, she was in last year's Taiga series but it's been a while since she's starred in a regular show.
Up next for Masami is doing the voice of Ash in the "Sing" anime film which will be released on March 17th, she's done a few other anime voices in the past. These pics are from a press conference yesterday for the film, not as jaw-dropping as she's looked at many other events. Masami has three regular films coming out this year and the first one will be "Tsuioku" which will be released on May 6th. The other two "Gintama" and "Strolling Invader" are coming out in the second half of the year.
