Think most Nogi group posts will need to start off with a pic of Himeka, no graduation date has been set but so many of us are going to miss her. Plus when she offered Nao an incentive to begin posts of with a pic of her....
Single #18 "Nigemizu" sold 880,000 copies in it's first week to easily be the top single of last week, second place only sold 32,000 copies. It sold a little bit more than the "Influencer" single, think Nogi has become a brand name like AKB where everything they release sells like hotcakes regardless if a single or whatever is that good. It's an okay song but would have it about 15th on my list of fave singles from them and if you add B-sides to the list it wouldn't make the top twenty.
Actually that's what's been lacking in quality more than anything else the last few singles and those are the B-sides. My top four Nogi tunes are those such as "Danke Schoen" and "Sekai de Ichiban Kodoku na Lover" and those songs seem to be the most popular in concert.
On to the mag spreads and there haven't been as many these last few weeks. That's the case for today too though the pics do add up to be 35 of them. Been trying to stay away from posting so many of them that feature the third generation members who have been getting too much of a push at the expense of the Undergirls. However they've been in so many it's hard to ignore them all but in this first set it features Mizuki who I really like and bet within 2-3 years she'll be the main center. This fine set of black and white pics are from volume 122 of Marquee.
Second spread is from a special Flash edition titled 'Best of Summer 2017', they have one of these editions for the four seasons. It features the co-centers for the new single who are Momoko and Yuuki. Joining them is one of my big faves these days who is Erika and she looks better than ever, would love to see a second photobook for her. Speaking of books Hinako's was delayed but heard it's still supposed to be released.
Few weeks ago Nanase appeared in an issue of Highway Walker. Now she's in the current issues of Tokyo Walker Plus and Wannyan Walker as it looks like walking could be her fave pastime.
Just got me thinking "Damn, what the hell are my fave B-side songs?" i guess 'Guuzen wo iiwake ni shite' is one of my top along with '13-nichi no kinyoubi'
ReplyDelete"13-nichi no kinyoubi" I would agree with, that would be 4th on my list and is the best Undergirls tune. But then again what a group UG was back then as Misa, Himeka, Hinako and Asuka were. The other B-side which is so terrific is "Dekopin" which featured six members. It was on the "Kimi no Na wa Kibou" single and the PV for it is one their cooler ones.
