Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The bewitching 'Minami Umezawa post' #12....

Perhaps some day I should start a monthly 'Nao Musings' post for certain things that pop in my mind, the only way to say them is to add them into the post I'm about to do. There was one thought that had struck my tiny brain earlier which formed into a part two. Was thinking about how many solo posts there are for J-Pop Idols when in reality there's so many fewer than I or you may have thought. Didn't check before writing this up but am good at remembering stats. Just eight Idols have five or more solo posts which add up to be a total of 68, of course there's many with just one or two. Of those eight four are from Nogi, two from Keya and one each from Hina and NMB. So that's really not all that many for nine months and in all honesty it doesn't mean a thing but you may be tested on it later!

Part two had to do with H!P/Hello Project groups and members. When you add all of their posts up think the total is around 340 yet one thing boggles my mind. Which is that there's been ZERO posts for any group or member this year, what's going on? Am I missing something or is it that they're all doing so little because of the crisis? Will admit I don't follow them as closely since C-ute disbanded plus too many of my faves have graduated. But to have no posts through nine months is something I never thought would happen and really don't think I've been missing much. But if you've ever noticed sometimes in life when you think of something that you haven't for a while then all of a sudden that person or group is busy again, let's hope that lightning strikes this time.

But that top paragraph does have something to do with Minami. This is her ninth solo post of the year which puts her in fourth place for Idols. She's now has one more post than fifth and ones less than third place, as usual will do some end of the year list for their total posts. But the gal just above Minami is a good mate of hers and my prediction is that they end the year tied with thirteen posts each but upon further reflection perhaps one more should be added to the prediction.

Minami's first photobook comes out tomorrow but then again it is September 29th in Japan so maybe there's a long horde of fans gathered outside of some bookstores right now. Don't know if there will be an event for the book but don't know why there wouldn't be as others have done one, it just can't be a session where you greet the fans face to face. Whether or not there's an event Minami's next post won't be for eleven days or a week from this Friday.

That's because in her next post want to have some stats for it. Such as many how copies did the PB sell in it's first week plus how the 'Eizouken' film is doing at the box office. Also this has been four posts in about a month so am slowly running out of new pics. Don't know why but have a strong feeling October will be the busiest month of the year for posts, have so many things I'm working on yet there's just never enough time in a day. Since that last post there's been three new promo pics for the book which are these and how about the middle pic....

Plus here's a few more which have been posted before but who can tired of them?!

Minami hosted last night's 'Showroom' where she of course promoted the photobook. Won't post any video of the show that's currently on YT as too often they get deleted but if there's one still up for her next post will have it then.

Just checked and there's no info yet about how the 'Eizouken' movie did at the box office. The trio of members have worked so hard at promoting it so really hope it's a success. Mentioned last week the drama will now be subbed and am planning on recapping the series next month. Minami has done many interviews for the film where of course she also talked about her tremendous PB, this batch here was a group interview for the Mantan Web site.

Much smaller batch of interview pics from the Crank site.

One more set of interview pics which are my fave ones from 'Tokyo What's In' site.

Some pics from the film's September 24th premiere, some are new while a few were in the post that was done for the movie on Saturday.

Have three new mag spreads but will hold on to one for next week's post. Minami was the cover girl for this first set which is from the October 12th issue of Big Comic Spirits yet it was a small spread.

Final set of pics is also from an October 12th mag and it was actually a group spread yet Minami had plenty of solo pics. The spread is from WPB and will have the entire set in a group post. After the pics is a new CM for Fanta soda featuring the trio of film stars.
