Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yuika Motokariya: Another extreme 'Blast from the Past' post....

But not as extreme as her previous 'blast from the past' post that was done in February 2020. That was her first post in a little over five years and Yuika was someone I did try to post about in the beginning as she had thirteen by the end of 2014. Was just checking those older ones out and two need to be replaced as the pictures are no longer there as back in 2012 used to link to a photo site as I didn't realize you could just upload pics from your computer. So think in May will do those posts over, one was for her first photobook and the other was from a mini Bomb-TV pictorial.

If things had worked out better or perhaps I should say fairly over the years then Yuika would have been a gal always in the top ten on my yearly faves list. Plus I don't think it's a reach saying she'd be battling for the top spot on my all time faves list, to me she is just one of the most beautiful women in history. But things didn't work out fairly enough and really nobody is to blame. Yuika is a gal who to an extent shuns the spotlight, she's quite active in dramas and a few other things but doesn't appear in many magazines nor seems to have nearly as many pics as other actresses. Lot of people must like her as that previous post has over 1,100 views and was one of the top posts for 2020.

Yuika has remained single all these years, that's not too uncommon for most of my faves but she will be turning 34 in September, to me she looks better with each passing year. Not a huge amount of recent pics but also have a few things since that last post, one reason for this was to give a heads up about a drama that will be recapped soon, more on that coming up. Yuika often has the lead role in her dramas, have seen about six to date which have been solid shows but no standouts though her current one may be. Was thinking about viewing her 2020 series "My Love, My Baker" but have been thinking about that since last July. To be honest had forgotten about it but now I'll be on the hunt for a subbed version and hopefully there is one. The series began last July 10th, have some terrific pics from an event held for it on the fourth.

Sone recent Instagram pics, Yuika posts many more than I would have expected as not many over the age of thirty post all that many. Nogi fans may know who is in the bottom pic.

For many years Yuika was the co-host of the 'King's Brunch' show but no longer does that gig. But these days she's the host of two radio shows and she does have such a pleasant voice for that line of work. Pics here are from a new Oricon interview for the current drama.

That drama is titled "Watashi no Otto wa Reitouko ni Nemutte Iru", it began on April 10th and will have six episodes. So what I'll be doing is a pair of batches that have three recaps, first set will be later on this week. Have viewed the first two shows, the third was just subbed so will be watching that a bit later. If I wait until Thursday or so for the recaps it's only a 2 1/2 week wait until the final three posts.

In the drama Yuika plays the lead role of Nana and it is a dark show which are my faves. In the opening minutes of the first episode Nana killed her husband to be, not married though they were living together in a house. His name was Ryo and after the killing Nana stored his dead body in a freezer but was it really dead? That's because the following morning Ryo appeared in front of her and was a true living human being! She quickly checked the freezer and the body was still there, what in the world is going on? At this point I don't know and neither does Nana who actually was driven to kill the man as he was just so abusive, some screenshots from the first two shows.

On to a trio of mag spreads, two are somewhat newish but this first one is from the February 28th issue of SPA! and may have been her only spread in a four year stretch.

Sadly it wouldn't surprise me if there was another long gap for posts in this vein but if you're a fan least those drama posts will be coming up soon. Yuika has released four phtobooks, she's kind of a thin woman but I think she looks fabulous. Though the PB came out some months prior these last two mag spreads feature some pics from it, this first set is from the July 3rd edition of Friday.

The spreads have some A++++ pics from the photobook and this final set is from the September 29th issue of Flash. No recent videos so instead will have a link to Yuika's YT channel, most of the videos are of her cooking and they do get a lot of views: Yuika's YT channel
