Keyakizaka46: Their tenth hair-raising post for 2023....

 

 Whew, do I need a swig of that! Hardly ever complain about the weather as there's nothing you can do about it. But will moan today as with the humidity it's close to 100 F and am I dying along with many others. Personally prefer our 6-7 months of Winter and don't know how others can live where it's so extremely sweltering all the time. Above is Minami and I miss doing posts for her, do include many pics of her in these group posts but these days it's impossible to do a solo one for her and can say that about most Keya members. That top pic is from her photobook and every one has to have at least one pic of an Idol brushing their teeth! It wasn't that long ago where I said a post would be done for my all time fave photos of Idols brushing their teeth but soon forgot about it. But now that it's back in my mind will do that list though it could take a while to compile all of the photos.

 Keya's 15th single, sixth since the name change to Sakura, is titled "Start Over" and finally the group has hit pay dirt! The single was released on June 28th and in it's first week out sales were close to 440,000 copies sold! That's by far their highest first week sales, "Nobody's Fault" sold 408,000 copies and only one other single topped 375,000 copies sold. So this should end up easily being their best selling single and glad to see something very positive happen to Keya, being much busier did pay off. To me it's a solid tune but the PV is just so-so and did prefer their first three singles though this current one is better than their fifth single "Sakurazuki". However did enjoy those coupling songs more and especially "Cool".

 All these group posts this year have been terrific but wish there were more of other things such as events and magazine spreads. Keya is supposed to perform at the Japan Expo in Paris on July 15th and for now it appears the show will still be going on. Still find it hard to believe they would go all that way to perform a thirty minute concert which would be about five songs. You'd think they could have another show in France or if they're in Europe why not travel to England or Germany for a show? Perhaps Yui would want to visit the UK again as her first photobook was shot in London.

 In the last group post brought up the name of Aoi Harada who hadn't been mentioned since last September. She's doing very well as she graduated from college in March, is working as an announcer for Fuji-TV and is a semi-reporter for a variety show. Plus she looks so fabulous these days and wish she had more exposure with the group but also say that about some other current members.  Hope you're not sick of Aoi as have more pics of her and will try including her in as many group posts as possible. The bottom six pics are new from her IG page while the others are her final cards as a Keya member. Aoi graduated last June though her farewell concert wasn't held until August 20th(?). At first she was going to graduate with Risa and the pair were good friends but for some reason her graduation was pushed back. Speaking of Risa it's been a while since she's had a post, will have one around the 27th of the month as that's when her 25th birthday will be taking place.

 As far as current members go Keya's captain Rina is someone I keep trying to have solo posts for and it sadly never works out but do have some new pics from the group's 'Diary Blog'. What I think will happen with her and a few other members is that in December will have all of their 'Uni's on Air' game pics for the year and whatever else that can be dug up. For some reason really like that top photo but in that bottom pic she's fraternizing with the dreaded enemy and when will they stop with that?!?! 😈

 Only one new magazine spread for today which features Karin as the cover girl for the July 12th issue of Weekly Shonen and she's the center for the new single. She has such a high amount of fans so could that mean she may have a photobook in the near future?

 Oooops, do have one more spread that's a mini one from the July issue of Seventeen. Once again it features Karin who is joined by Hono who did have a solo post last month. third of the trio is Hikaru and I really do like her but like too many others it's been so hard to have a post for her.

 Since January been having a monthly post featuring their promo pics for the 'Uni's on Air' web game. Am going to change that up for this month and spilt them up between three posts for that means I'll have to work at having two more this month after this one. So will have five members for today and this batch will be the final thing for this post, all have four pics. First up is Hono and like I just said she had a solo post last month, she's followed by Keya's captain Rina. Up third is Kira and these game pics are about the only times you see her smile! Rounding out this set is Akiho and she just got a gig appearing on the Thursday "Love It" variety show, last but certainly not least is Marino and have to say no member's looks have improved as much as hers the last year.

 Keya opened a second YT channel two months ago for the members to upload their own videos but as mentioned before they need to get more serious about the videos. Especially the lesser popular members as it'll be a good way for them to get noticed, after two months only a dozen videos have been uploaded. After the pics have a video from three weeks ago that features many of the members and it's from their third tour, mainly what happens behind the scenes.
