Miku Kanemura: Another who I hope is making a triumphant return....
Have mused about it before and am referring to the first photo above, it's so hard to explain why that's been one of my all time favorite pictures and perhaps things such as that don't have a cut and try reason. I came so close to taking today off as there really wasn't much to post about but try not to do that too often so this is one of my patented Spur of the moment posts but think it'll turn out to be a terrific post. And hopefully it's more than just this one as this is Miku's first post in eight months so because of that had been overlooking her too often. This year has seen so many posts for those who had semi-disappeared or had been forgotten about, what I'm really hoping for is that instead of a post or two they can continue on for those semi-forgotten faves for a while.
Actually can't say that I had been overlooking Miku but her activities have really decreased the past two years so it was easy not to notice her as often and bet many of you readers here have missed her too. Had a strong feeling it wouldn't happen but for a while I thought Miku was on track to become my all time favorite J-Pop Idol and that may have happened if Hina's management didn't put the main focus on the fourth generation members, I think that hurt the group as a whole immensely and why there was such a mass exodus. There's only a pair of second generation members left so would think one will be departing by the end of the year, I'm going to place my $$ on Miku leaving first. She does have a bright future in show biz being a model and actress but even if she chooses to retire she does have a college degree in Photography and graduated from Nihon University College of Art in March 2025.
Did say the first photo of the post was so tremendous but that one right above is unbelievably sweltering and when she does leave Hina will we see her second photobook? Another question is could Miku sneak onto the 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list, my top dozen women are locked in but there's about fifteen vying for the other eight spots. In 2024 Miku was fourth on the yearly faves list, in 2023 she was second plus made the list the year before so of course she has what it takes to make my top twenty. Figuring out those final eight will be so difficult, can't go wrong with any of them but sure once the list is done will wonder if there shouldn't have been X instead of Y in a position. So Miku will never end up being my #1 Idol but just to be in the conversation of possibly achieving that is quite impressive.... this may sound odd but to me the only problem with Miku is that in a way she's too Perfect, besides her being such a stunning young woman she seemingly can do everything and very well too!
This is a large post with at least eighty new photos that have come out since her last post eight months ago. But didn't go overboard as I'd like to see these Miku posts carry on for a while, she'll be the last current Hina member who will ever have posts and hope they continue after her graduation. Have a little bit of many things and will start off with these Hina monthly message pics for the last four months of last year and if you notice the group's uniforms hadn't changed but they did in January.
Hina's last single "Cliffhanger" came out in January, they are so consistent as their singles almost always sell between 450-500,000 copies, the latest one sold 472,000. "Kind of Love" will be the group's next single and the release date for it is in exactly two weeks. EDIT:Just viewed the PV to the new single and will say that's one of Hina's best tunes in a while so if you haven't heard it check it out. Graduations tend to happen when a new single comes out and that won't be happening with this next one which will be Hina's seventeenth so that should mean Miku will be around until at least the Autumn and if she does leave then hope she's the center for her final single. Next up are these Hina group cards, they go backwards from February to October and they seem to have less cards than Keya or Nogi but I think they look the best.
What we haven't seen often for well over a year are promo pictures for the 'Uni's on Air' web game that features the voices of Hina and Keya members. There are pics here and there for the game but for years there would be at least four a month for the members and they did brighten up a post. No new ones for today so have some older ones for Valentine's as there wasn't a post for Miku then, did say above she does everything perfectly so bet the chocolates she bakes for the day outshine any that a Swiss baker could make!!!!
Back to new photos and this next batch is from Miku's IG page, she also posts then at Hina's group blog. Could have had more but need to save a few things for her next post, that top pic is more than oki-doki as Miku does have some fine legs and her height is 163 cm.
Miku has appeared at four of those large fashion shows this year, have some superb photos from one which means there's plenty more for future posts. This set is from the Spring 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show that took place on March 14th at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo. Miku took her stroll on the Outfitter Lab stage, did just say her height is 163 cm but she's always looked taller than that to me and perhaps it's because of her thinness.
No new magazine spreads but am hoping to have at least one for her next post. So let's go back to August 2023 and Miku was the cover girl for the monthly issue of Bomb, sure many won't be agreeing with me but I think this is her best mag spread though all are terrific.
Will end off with this small set which are modeling pics from the Bis site and were from late 2025. Miku had been with the magazine since November 2020 but left them this January so these are her final pics from them. In April Miku became a model for the Voce magazine and that's a good decision as their modeling pics are much better. The top two pics below are tough to beat and what makes Miku kind of special are her under the radar sultry looks, she doesn't need to dress skimpy to get our attention. After the pics is Miku's final video for Bis, it's not a solo one but she's with a pair of Nogi members and one of them(Yuki) is overdue for a post, so far there's no videos for Voce.
