Rena Moriya: Hopefully this marks her triumphant return!.... part two....

 

 This has been such an excellent year as far as being able to do posts for some long forgotten faves and even though someone may have gone seemingly eons without a post doesn't mean I've forgotten about them. Such as second generation Keya(Sakura) members and this makes it two posts this week for a current member, there was also another post for one back in February. That's not a lot of posts but had gone so long without any for the group and from 2019 to about 2024 they were my top J-Pop group but then the mass exodus began and no first generation gals are left.

 I will give a round of applause to the 2G members as Keya's weakness for a while was their instability, now being stable is a huge strength of the group. In 2019 fifteen 2G members joined Keya, seven years later only three have left and to me that's quite impressive. The group is also extremely consistent as far as selling singles go, their last five have all sold between 500-545,000 copies and these days that's not as an easy feat. But sure many members will soon be departing as almost all are 24+ in age but they deserve a lot of credit for keeping Keya relevant after the name change to Sakura, to me the second generation members of all three '46' groups have been their best. So even though I do still like the 2G Keya members quite a bit it's been so difficult to do solo posts for the members. That post a few days ago featured a photobook but it was the first one in over a year for a member plus they don't appear in nearly as many magazines as they once did. All in all the group is more popular than they were four years ago but have fewer 'superstars' but now that I've been able to do three recent posts for current members it'll make me work a bit harder to have even more.

 Rena is my favorite 2G member, think overall would say she's my third fave Keya gal. But this is her first post in over a year and guess I could have done at least one other last year but you know that adage out of sight, out of mind. So though today has over eighty new photos bet I can scrape up many more things from the past year and a goal is to have another post for Rena next month, hopefully for another member too. Back on January 2nd she did hit the age of 26 but there are three older members and all seem to be happy with Keya so that's a good sign of there not being any departures happening soon. Have said it before which is of how close we were to never hearing about Rena and Lady Luck smiled upon her! For when the 2G auditions ended in late 2018 for the fifteen new members Rena missed the cut as she had been ranked 16th!!!! She joined their training group and don't think Keya has anything like that these days, one member had to drop out so in February 2020 which was one month after her 20th birthday Rena became a regular member and what would have happened if that member hadn't left Keya? That I don't know but doesn't it seem hard to believe Rena wasn't part of the original fifteen but did say the second generation members are such a strong group so that's probably the biggest reason she wasn't selected right off the bat.

 Six of the pictures above are from Rena's first and only photobook that came out in 2022. Of the hundred or so photobooks the three '46' groups have that could be the most underrated one of them all, also underrated is Rena's beauty and I can only think of one other current J-Pop Idol more attractive than she is. This is her 18th solo post and there's so much more bio info in those so do recommend checking those out. Have quite a few pics that are brand new for here and could have made this larger but want to hold back in some things for a June post.  Rena's photobook had so many sultry pictures and she is such a looker but she doesn't need to dress scantly to get my attention. Rena looks so super duper in those above photos and also in all of the other new pics for today. There's been such a decrease in group cards for all J-Pop groups these days, have a good amount here but they stretch all the way back to August. The top two are for Sakura's fifth anniversary and it's easy to see what cards were for Christmas, the bottom ones are for the group's second and third singles for 2025. The last few years too many groups only release one or two singles but Keya/Sakura had three in the years of 2023, 2024 and 2025 along with an album last year.

 From 2021-23 Rena may have appeared in more magazines than any other Keya member but the amount of them as decreased immensely since then, not just for her but most Idols. However she is the cover girl for the April 29th issue of Weekly Shonen and when I noticed that said it's time for Rena to attempt another triumphant return.... hope it pans out better than her first one....

 On April 18th Rena and four other Keya gals made an appearance at the Spring 'Girls Award' show that was held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, most of those huge fashion shows take place there. Rena took her stroll on the Dazzlin' stage and in my eyes that's a perfect word for her....

 

It's a requirement in every solo post for a Keya member that it has to feature photos with you-know-who and I always thought these two got along so well together, their DOB's are only ten weeks apart.

 For the finale have some ultra fabulous Rena modeling photos from the Maquia site and think she's been with them close to two years, prior to them Rena had been a model for Anan. Keya has a group YT site where members can upload their own videos and most are entertaining. After the photos is Rena's most recent one which was uploaded on February 26th but the video had to be filmed at least a month before, Rena tried her hand at ice fishing but somehow after two hours didn't reel any in.... hmmmm, she should have tried a different bait for Rena 😍 was able to reel me in with no problem!!!!
