Marie Iitoyo: Few recent happenings....

No Marie in this year's top twenty though she is a big fave of mine and would say she could be my youngest one. One criteria was to be twenty or older in age to make the list and Marie just missed as she'll be hitting that age on January 5th. That's okay as it's been such a struggle whittling the list down to twenty, there's no doubt she'll be making an appearance next year.
Besides being eligible for Nao's top twenty list there's another big happening that will be taking place on January 5th. On that date Marie will be releasing her first photobook which will be titled 'No Gazpacho", pics for it were taken in Spain. Of course it's not going to be a gravure style book but think it's going to be an extremely superb PB. That ultra seductive pic above is from the photo shoot and here's a few other advance pics for the book.

November is when the calendars for the following year begin to be available, Marie's one for 2018 will be her third one. It's now available and hoping we'll see her at an event for it, Marie does appear at many events but not smaller ones like fan signing sessions like her calendar one would be.

We will be seeing Marie at next month's 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show, she she usually looks so spectacular at those shows. Marie has been in at least five dramas this year and her newest one looks to be the best of them. Been looking for it but can't find it, think it may be a pay-to-view show on WOWOW. Title of Marie's latest show is "W- Men in the Investigative Unit 2" and it's her first police series. Show began on November 5th and will look harder for it as the rest of the cast are also solid. On October 26th there was a press conference for the drama, have some pics from the event here followed by a few promo pics for the series.

Marie just dies a so-so job at keeping her media accounts updated which is okay by me, some do spend way too much time on it and these pics are from her Twitter account from the past week or so.

What we never see enough of are magazine appearances for Marie, hopefully that will be changing with her first photobook coming out soon. To end off have one recent terrific mag spread which is from a special a special Flash edition titled 'Platinum'.

Marie Iitoyo: Two October events....

May sound a bit odd but think the reason there aren't more posts for various Marie activities is because she's too busy! Can't recall ever saying anything like that before but in Marie's case think it's true but there's really nothing wrong with being ultra busy.
For 2017 she's appeared in two films, one TV movie and seven dramas, being in so many things doesn't give you that much time to appear in many mags or at other events. So far five of those dramas have been completed, one is still on going and the seventh will be starting next month. The real shame is that of the six finished or airing only one has been subbed and her next one will also fall into the unsubbed category, not good news if you're a fan of Marie.

On to two press conferences for a pair of upcoming projects which has been her only news this month, Marie's blog/Twitter entries have been almost nonexistent. Marie will be in the TV movie "Blue Birds Nante" which will be airing October 22nd on Fuji-TV. It's the fourth in a series of 'Drama Koshien' movies, that's a country wide talent search for new directors or writers who are still in high school. The person who won this year's contest which was the fourth time it's been awarded was Yuriko Kuribayashi who is the short female in the bottom pics, this event took place on October 5th.

Marie plays a high school student in the above TV movie but she'll be playing a detective for the first time in the upcoming drama "Stone Tsububu- Men in the Investigation". The series will be starting November 5th on WOWOW and it's the second season for the show.
On October 16th Marie was appointed as 'Chief for the day' at the Marunochi police station in Tokyo. She also did a little bit of promoting for the new drama plus it was also the start of a new campaign to battle violence against women. After these fine pics of the best looking chief in Tokyo check out an arresting video of the event.
