Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Ryoha Kitagawa: Magazine scans #1
This is the true definition of a 'spur of the moment post'. To break the silence was about to put on a SKE CD(I'm still old fashioned) and thought to myself it's been a while since a member post. While I don't care too much for the other '48' groups current songs still get into SKE quite a bit and they're one group who I listen to just as much as I did five years ago.
Above is the PV for the group's fourth single "1! 2! 3! 4! Yoroshiku!" and though most may think "Oki Doki" is my fave SKE single would have to say that one is. The PV for it is definitely worth a view as there aren't many that are as fun as that video is and that chorus will stick in your head for days. The single came out on November 17, 2010 and what's shocking is that it only hit #2 on the charts, it was their last single not to hit the top spot.
SKE's 22nd single was released on January 10th and is titled "Muishiki no Iro", above are two of the covers. Of course it hit #1 as has their previous seventeen singles and it sold a little over 278,000 copies in it's first week, second week it dropped to sixth on the charts. That total is a slight increase over the group's last two singles but still far away from their heyday when they would sell 400,000+ in a week.
The SKE members appear in so many mags but it seems as though the spreads are somewhat evenly shared between all of the members. Perhaps that means I should do group posts as there could be five or more a month for their spreads, do group posts for Keya and Nogi so why not SKE?
Ryoha has been a fave member of mine for a while though she won't be turning twenty until later on this year. This March Ryoha will be celebrating her fifth anniversary with SKE and though young she's already a leader which is for Team S. On to the spreads and have four for today but there are a few more from 2017 I'll be getting to soon, first off is this A+ set from the February edition of Bomb.
Next spread she's joined by her SKE mate Nao who I really, really like and it's not just because we share the same name! Have done a few posts for her in the past and will work on doing another very soon, this superb collection is form the February issue of BLT.
Shame that above set wasn't bigger but the next two are quite huge. Ryoha really looks ultra fabulous in this spread which is from volume two of Platinum Flash from late November.
Final spread is from the November edition of Bubka, bottom pics are from the photo shoot. No kind of Ryoha gravure videos so after the pics is a newish CM for Rogue Diamant.
