Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Erika Toda: A little bit of this and that....

This has been Erika's busiest year in a long time as she's had at least ten posts and all have been for new happenings. However have a hunch this may be her last post of the year and really hope I'm mistaken with that thought. Was hoping I could be recapping her current asadora "Scarlet" which has been airing for five weeks. But the show hasn't been subbed nor have I heard of any team that will be doing it but think in the end run it'll be done, am looking forward to viewing it.

Erika is one of two huge faves who would have made this year's 'Top Twenty Faves' list but were ineligible for they're both in the 'Nao Hall of Fame'. Have no idea where she would have placed, not number one but definitely in the top ten, top five if "Scarlet" was subbed. Speaking of that drama here's some pics from a Asahi interview she did at the beginning of October for it.

More Erika interview pics which are from the Crank site. But this set is of her promoting her film "The Last Supper" which came out last Friday.

Have noticed older actresses, say 28 or older, tend not to post than many blog or Instagram pics. Erika is no different as these are the only ones from the past three weeks.

That's okay though as there's plenty of mag spreads for a change though as once again none of them are big enough such as this small set from the November issue of Bijin Hyakka.

Least Erika looks so stupendous in the spreads though they are too small. For so long thought her prime period for 'hotness' was from 2008 to 2011, now am changing that opinion as I think she looks better than ever these days. Should have checked but didn't as I'm not sure if this set has been posted before. Don't think it was and even so why not an encore viewing as Erika looks so terrific, she was the cover girl for the November edition of Voce.

Another cover for her which is from the October 9th issue of Kansai Walker.

Smallest set for today that's only two pages from the December edition of Ginger.

Final spread for today is from the December issue of Maquia and once again Erika is a cover girl. Bottom four pics are from their site which are 'cleaner' versions of some of the spread's pics.

Here's the last batch of pics which are more superb ones. "The Last Supper" opened last Friday but Erika and the main cast didn't have an official premiere until the following day, the event took place at the Shinjuku Piccadilly. Top pics are the film's poster along with a few stills while the rest are from the premiere. There's a couple of videos from the event but instead of one of them after the pics have the film's trailer which looks to be a promising movie.

  1. Her new prime is definitely starting now as she's starting to get that mature type of beauty.

  2. 'Mature type of beauty' is an apt description as age seems to have improved her looks. She's had about ten posts this year for new happenings and wish her peers would look to Erika on how do continue a career successfully. Am referring to faves both of us like such as Gakky, Manami, Masami and a few others. Haven't done any posts for them in eons as none of them do much of anything these days and wonder what they've been up to?
