Nogizaka46: Their ten most popular photobook posts according to.... you viewers!

Something slightly different, the idea popped into my mind last night and said do it now before I forget all about it! Do many kinds of lists but have realized none are ever for Nogi and maybe because they always place high on every other list done. To date have posted about 45 member books and four group ones but it's been a while since a regular one was done, think that was back in May and that's because there's been so few the last year. Knew what the two most popular photobooks were but really had no idea about the next eight so thought why not do a post for it?

Photobook posts are the most popular ones here and especially for Nogi gals, their group books though never draw as many views but it's been years since they had one. Actually Mai above was the semi inspiration for this post as I was planning on doing something for her this Sunday. Her second photobook will be coming out on January 25th and this could be the best Nogi book in years. Though she's not overly popular here her first book, which came out in November 2017, had the 14th highest amount of views of any Nogi book. I just compiled the stats, this is another list of what posts you viewers have enjoyed the most.

That's Hinako above and her second book will be coming out in about five weeks. To date there's only been a small handful of advance pics and hope this book is promoted more than her first one which was still a decent seller at 60,000+ copies sold. This post is just for Nogi books and not all '46' groups but if I had included them one person would have made this list. That's Neru, her first and only book came out in December 2017 and has that been popular here. It's the third most popular '46' book with over 19,000 views and it's a shame we may never see another one from her. She's way overdue for a post and will work on one, she's really slipped my mind these past few months.

Let's get to the top ten Nogi photobooks and as mentioned this list are of what book posts you viewers have checked out the most. Will list the title, release date, how many views it's had plus the amount of copies it's sold to date. Will also have the link(s) to the post, up until 2017 often had two posts for photobooks that had over a hundred pics but no longer do that. Won't happen right away but was thinking of having a post like this for all photobooks, there would be twenty on that list.

#10, Erika Ikuta.... Her "Tencho" PB has had 7,777 views to date
Release date: January 21, 2016, 125,000 copies have been sold  Part one .... Part two

This was the biggest surprise of the top ten as I had forgotten how popular it was. The book was an okay one but all in all it's not among my faves from Nogi. You will notice that as the years went on the books became much more revealing and there's no better example than Erika's second PB!!!!

#9, Misa Eto.... "Hanashi wo Kikouka" book has 7,810 views, released on April 25,2017
98,000 copies have been sold, Hanashi wo Kikouka

Glad to see this book make the top ten but it deserved to be higher. Out of all Nogi photobooks this just may be my #1, no lower than second. Misa did release a book ten months after her March 2019 graduation which I had forgotten about, let me work on getting that. This was actually her second PB, she had one before she joined Nogi which came out in 2011.

#8, Nanase Nishino.... May 9, 2018 "Watashi no Koto" book has 8,447 views
185,000 copies sold, Watashi no Koto

Nanase was one of two members to have a pair of books make the list, this was her third and final book to date. Hope it's not her last one but it's getting close to four years since this was released so it's appearing as though it may be. The book was published by the Non-no magazine and they have many of their pics in the book.

#7, Nanase Nishino... 8,917 views for "Fudangi" released on February 18, 2015
112,000 copies sold to date, Part one .... Part two

Nanase's three books have been the most conservative ones of any member but I think they're among the best, so don't fans as they've sold almost 500,000 copies. She was just so popular and have noticed that hasn't been the case for the newer members. A trio of third generation members are extremely popular who all have books but no one else in that group nor do any fourth generation members have a photobook and guiltily admit I hope they never do.

#6, Asuka Saito.... "Shiosai" has 8.932 views and was released on January 25, 2017
To date 200,000+ copies have been sold, Part one .... Part two

Here's a mystery to me and bet many other fans too. This has been Asuka's only photobook to date and it's now almost five years since it was released. At 200,000 copies sold you know management would want another book so guess it's been her decision not to have one, hope we don't have to wait until her graduation for that second book.

#5, Miona Hori.... "Kimirashisa" has 9,131 views, released on November 24, 2017
To date has sold about 74,000 copies, Kimirashisa

This could be my second favorite Nogi photobook and also was the lowest seller for this top ten list. Miona's second book sold about the same amount of copies, will soon have her graduation book that came out last April. That'll probably be her final one and only sold 41,000 copies.

#4, Yuki Yoda... 9,280 views for her March 10, 2020 PB "Mukuchi na Jikan"
225,000 copies have been sold, Mukuchi na Jikan

Thought this book would be in third place but it's only sixty views behind so it'll eventually happen. This is Yuki's second book and what a massive seller it's been, the top four selling Nogi books have sold well over a million copies and the question is when is her third book going to come out?

#3, Mizuki Yamashita... "Wasurerarenai Hito" has 9,340 views
Released on January 21,2020 and 185,000 copies have been sold, Wasurerarenai Hito

Mild surprise that this book finished so high but as mentioned do expect the above book to eventually overtake this one. Mizuki is popular here but not at the level which you would expect which is why I was slightly surprised it's garnered so many views. But it is a fabulous book and with such high sales you'd have to think we'll be seeing another one.

#2, Erika Ikuta.... 20,410 views for "Intermission" that came out on January 23, 2019
325,000 copies have been sold to date, Intermission

What a huge difference in views as this post has received well over twice as many as the above book. Think Erika's graduation is now official and have been stalling on doing some posts for her but they will happen. A month ago she released a graduation book which has sold over 100,000 copies. This post is now the seventh most viewed one of all time here, while not my top Nogi book this is definitely the most 'revealing' one.

#1, Mai Shiraishi.... "Passport" has 27,004 views, it came out on February 7, 2017
To date 455,000 copies have been sold, Part one .... Part two

Not much I can add in about this book that hasn't been said already. At 455,000 copies sold it's the second highest selling photobook of all time and #1 for all Idols. With over 27,000 views it's now the fourth most popular post but is trailing number one by over 7,000 views. Maybe I've viewed these pics too often but kind of prefer her 'Memorial Graduation' book that came out in October 2020 and it sadly appears we may never see another PB from Mai which will sadden us all....
