Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mai Shinuchi: Just because who else deserves a post more than her?!!!!

It's rare when the lead post features the same woman as the 'Featured post of the day' though sure when most are reading this it'll be a different one. EDIT: Oooops, just noticed there's someone else and she had the featured post for yesterday! That title is semi correct, can think of 3-4 others who I may want to do a post for but that's not all that many when you think about how many hundreds of women I've posted about over the last.... decade(!).... whew, now that makes me feel old! First post for Mai since March 1st and knew they would be slowing down but have a feeling or perhaps am hoping that she'll have a some more coming up in the next few months.

Last year Mai had fifteen posts and knew there was no way that would happen again this year. This is her fourth since the 'Nao Year' began on December 1st so two more are needed to qualify for the 2023 fave's list. Last year Mai was in the fifth position and while that won't happen again a strong second half of the year should put her in the top ten again. Though she just had three posts coming into today they were all tremendous so it's a case of quality over quantity.

Don't know if this will be a large post but do have a good amount of new pics and of course to me they're utterly perfect!!!! A little less than two months ago Mai opened a fan site and I've always wondered how many people sign up to be a member? Not too much there yet but if you want to visit it here's the link, don't know where the name came from: Maileage site

There's so many older Nogi cards of Mai's that had never been posted try to include some of those older ones in her posts. Let's go back close to six years ago for this set which are for the "Nigemizu" single that came out in August 2017.

If you're in need of a calendar for the next 2 1/2 months here's some from Mai's first ever calendar that came out in December. She held an event for it and also was at about four other events last year but so far none for 2023.

Have some super duper recent pics from Mai's IG page but not enough of them, that's because it seems from April to early May she seemed to take a breather during that period.

While with Nogi Mai was the Wednesday night host for the 'All Night Nippon' radio show and she made that very popular, she had to leave after graduating. But the hosting didn't stop there as she's  co-host for a TV variety show and also hosts a radio show twice a month for SDGs Magazine, wish they had more pics at their site.

No new magazine spreads for Mai but it was exactly one year ago when she was one of the 'Women of the Month' for Tokyo Calendar.

Mai will be in her first movie which is titled "Okashiratsuki" which is coming out on August 18th and hopefully she'll be appearing at an event or two for it, more info in future posts. Two days ago her first web photobook was released which is called "Evolution" and to me it looks like part two of a magazine spread that came out a year ago. Have some pics from it here and will have more in her next post, following them is a short video of the photo shoot.
