i☆Ris: Their historical first post!!!!

 

 Have a strong feeling this and future posts won't be too popular but who cares as this is a group of gals who I like. I✫Ris a J-Pop group who has been around since 2012(!) but had never paid much attention to them until earlier this year and not sure why that was. These days it seems the better groups are ones that don't have '46' or '48' after their names and sure many viewers have heard of them. Don't think there will be a huge amount of upcoming posts but there will be a few more for the group and also would like to have at least one solo post for the five members. 

 Those are the names of everyone above, up until March 2021 there had been six members. So because they formed in 2012 it means all are getting up there in age and it's harder to find older gals who don't have posts here, the youngest is 28 in age. To top it off the I✫Ris members are also voice actresses and long time viewers know how much I enjoy posting about them. This first intro post won't be too large but will have some info on the members plus do a massive newish mag spread/book and you'll be learning much more about them in the future. They're not a 'gravure group' which to me is a positive but also a reason why these posts may not be too popular.

 Did say each member should have at least one solo post and will have much more info about them then. But here's a quickie run down on the five members and will go in alpha order, first up is Himika Akaneya and never have posted about someone with that first and/or last name. In exactly two weeks she'll be celebrating her 30th birthday and did say the members are slightly older. Himika is 161 cm in height and hails from Akita, seems she does more voice acting than any other member.

 Miyu Kubota is originally from Saitama and is 157 cm in height, not overly tall but I✫Ris seems to be taller than most voice acting troupes. One gravure model has a forklift license but Miyu is the first Idol I've posted about who does and she also has a license in welding!!!!

 The captain/leader of I✫Ris is Saki Yamakita, she's also the oldest as on February 28th she hit the age of 33! Saki grew up in Hokkaido so the members came from all around Japan, at 163 cm in height she's the group's tallest member.

 Though I didn't know much about I✫Ris until five or so months ago did know about Yu Serizawa and surprised she's had no posts yet as I was planning on doing some for her. So she's the main reason I became aware of the group and glad I did as they do seem to be such a fun quintet of girls. Most voice acting troupes are and after a long period of having so few posts for them bet this makes it ten of them in the last two months. At 163 cm she ties the captain for being the tallest member of I✫Ris and Yu puts out more solo music than anyone else in the group. On December 3rd she'll be hitting the age of thirty but don't the members look much younger than what they are? I think so and she'll be having the group's first solo post.

 Last up for group intros is Yuki Wakai, in October she will be hitting the age of 29. At 145 cm she's by far the shortest member of I✫Ris and you can notice that in group photos. Yuki hails from Gifu and she too puts out a lot of solo songs as she's had eight digital singles since early 2021.

 I✫Ris is a popular group but wouldn't call them superstars. They've had 25 singles with eight hitting the top ten which is good and most seem to peak in the teens. Their 25th single was released on June 12th with the title of "Love For You", it's the theme song to their first anime movie. That came out on May 17th and all of the members have the lead voice roles in the movie which is titled "I✫Ris the movie ~ Full Energy!!".  Will end off this historical intro post with a massive spread that could also be considered to be a mini photobook. It's from the May issue of Young Dragon Age which was their 22nd volume, each member has a good amount of solo pics and their names are on some of them. This huge set was promoting the group's anime movie and after the spread is a video from May 18th, the movie came out the day before but guess this event was it's official premiere.
