Miyu Kishi: Her slightly belated... 'Merry 25th Birthday' post....
Exactly one week late with this post and most of it is my fault for forgetting but did have a lot of other posts that also needed to be written up. From late 2022 until the Spring of 2024 BababaBambi may have been my favorite J-Pop group, knew they would never be superstars but their songs were all very good and quite upbeat too, I much prefer a rockin' sound to my pop tunes. The group seemed to peak on March 14, 2024 when they headlined a sold out concert at Budokan, then things began to go downhill at a slowish pace though they still are one if my current fave groups. My #1 member left that Summer, a few months later two of the three newbies also left and that lineup of five members remains intact as of today but for how much longer?
Not much longer for the group will be disbanding in one month or the sixth anniversary of when they were formed. That kind of bums me out as BababaBambi's concerts were so entertaining and I have a bunch of them on DVD but they never did sell too many singles, most of them were digital or streaming ones. Plus no group's gravure spreads and books have been better than the ones BababaBambi have put out the past five years but there's been a slowdown on them the past year or so. In the past the group did so many magazine spreads and books together, it would be nice if for their swan song we saw a few more of those plus I hope none of the members disappear. That's sad news and will really be working on having a group post or two shortly after their final show, I had been hoping they would make it to a hundred posts but it doesn't appear as though that will be happening....
BababaBambi has to be the shortest J-Pop group I've ever done posts for, three of the five current members are 151 cm or less in height. Leading(?) the way is Miyu, at 145.8 cm she's the shortest woman I've ever posted about but I still think she looks so darn savory, so don't you viewers as most of her solo posts have been quite popular. That height is 57 inches, mine is 72 so what a difference that is and Miyu has said in interviews how at times she can be a bit self conscious of her height though being so short may also help out her popularity. So while I don't think Miyu will be a huge star after the group breaks up she seems like someone who will be in show biz for a while, there's little doubt if Miyu wanted to do gravure modeling FT she's be quite popular and she already has a built in fan base.
Whew, at times even I can be speechless!!!! This makes it 85 posts for BababaBambi, mostly solo posts but there's been about ten group ones. Almost all have come within the last 4 1/2 years so the group was averaging about two posts a month but they really started to peter out by the end of 2024. That's a shame as no group topped how their members looked in mag spreads and books, sadly another favorite group of mine will be no longer. They're part of the Familia agency, their other semi-popular group #2i2 disbanded two months ago and it's hard to have a long career these days as the J-Pop market is so oversaturated. Enough of my whining, this should be a mighty fine post and wish there were more recent mag spreads but have about 55 photos of Miyu that are brand new for here.
First up are some older pics for Valentine's Day and most are from the Maly Moon site, also threw in a few of their other pics. At the site you can buy BababaBambi uniforms though they don't come equipped with members!
Miyu posts quite a few photos at her IG page, they also get added to the group's site. Miyu does love to cosplay plus she has started a fan club, there will be an event in two days for her 25th birthday. The first five pics are from a WPB photo shoot as she'll be in their next issue plus has a digital book coming out for the magazine. The bottom five are of BababaBambi's current lineup, while they will be disbanding it's always seemed to me the gals were good friends and hopefully it'll remain that way.
Besides that digital book Miyu also has another coming out so that's a good sign of her being busy, if I can will continue to do posts for her and the other members after their breakup. Miyu isn't giving up her J-Pop career as last year she formed an offshoot Familia agency group with two others. They call themselves SPG which stands for Small Powerful Girls as all are under 150 cm. Besides Miyu the group consists of Himeno Hinano from the group #Mooove! and I once featured her in a post. The third gal is Tomi from #2i2, I've liked her immensely for about seven years but it's been a while since her last post, she hit the age of 27 two weeks ago. Earlier this week the trio did an interview with TheTV.jp site, the pics below are from it and there's plenty more of them at the site. The gals talk about what to expect from their group, the futures of all three plus about two of the groups disbanding and this was a rather informative interview to read, here's the link to it: TheTV.jp site
I still miss the founding member of BababaBambi so much and vow to have a post for her next month. Am talking about Mio 😍 who truthfully just may be in my top five of all time for women, I adore her to no end! Her group activities ended 22 months ago and no woman had more alluring gravure spreads and books than Mio 😍 from 2021-24, I was a fan of her even before the group was formed. These two made for a nice pair and wonder if the ex-BababaBambi members will appear at their final concert that will be taking place on March 28th?
How about that above photo, it sure gets my imagination working! On November 13th, 2024 Miyu released her first and only regular photobook "Tinto". This spread from the November 5, 2024 issue of Flash has some outtake pics from the book and back then the members used to appear in so many magazines but like most Idols for some reason the spreads have slowed way down the past two years or so.
The post for the "Tinto" book does have a decent amount of views, think about 2,400 to date. However it deserves to have twice that amount so have the link to the book, am starting to run out of superlatives lately for my bigger faves... that bottom pic was my favorite from the book: "Tinto" photobook
Will end off with two sparkling magazine spreads, didn't talk much about her birthday but those kinds of posts aren't much different than regular posts. Both spreads are from last year, the second is brand new for here but unsure if this first one was in a prior post. If so bet it's been forgotten about and Miyu appeared in the first ever edition of Parade which was released last July 30th.
Final thing for today is this massive and ultra sizzling Miyu spread from a special Sunny Girl issue called 'Extra' that came out last October. This is the third Extra edition the magazine has released, they have an issue quarterly and began in July 2023, since then no magazine has had better spreads than them. There was no video for this spread but above did mention that Miyu has a new digital book coming out for WPB, yesterday a promo video came out for it and that's after this tremendous spread.
