Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: 'Top Twenty Faves list for 2017' #13....?

Mayu was the biggest omission for 2016's top twenty faves list, kept trying to find a spot for her but just couldn't make it work. So this will mark her first appearance on any of my lists and would be surprised if she fails to make it every year. There's two Japanese actresses who will make the top ten, think Mayu is the better actress but when you add in a few other variables those other two top her but probably not for too many years,
Above are two pics and the trailer for the "Katte ni Furuetero" film and it'll be Mayu's first lead role in a film, that looks like a really fun movie. She's had the lead role in many dramas up until now, seems like we've been seeing her on TV for a decade as she's been in so many series but that's not the case as Mayu is just 22. First show I saw her in was "SHE", if you like short dramas would recommend the show and the top pic is a promo one for it.

Try to have these posts consist of many new happenings but it's not always easy if they've been idle for a while. It's also not easy if they're a big fave of mine as I try not to let things accumulate which is the case for Mayu. But have held back a few things and all of these upcoming pics are brand new for here. Should be many new pics coming up too for the film as that will be coming out on December 23rd and there's already been some promoting for it. Just three pics here from an interview for the Soup Plus site though she will be in their January issue.

If there's any Mayu fans out there who have read her previous posts then you know that there will never be any gravure pics or spreads which may be a huge reason why I like Mayu so much. No doubt it's a reason so many others enjoy her too and it's refreshing to see a young actress not have to do gravure spreads to get ahead. These are from another interview for the upcoming film and are from the BLT-Web site.

Mayu mag spreads are always in short supply but do have a new one here for TV Colors.

The "Katte ni Furuetero" film was screened at this year's 'Tokyo International Film Festival' which began in 1985. This year's fest started on October 25th, on that date Mayu and the rest of the main cast were at the opening ceremony.

Last item is that on the 30th the film was screened at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppogni and have plenty of superb Mayu pics along with a video of the event.
