Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: The 'Mai Shirashi post' #25....
Hard to believe this is only the 25th Mai solo post, have mentioned before how low that total seems seeing as she has more posts than any woman here and there's only one who is somewhat close to her. Just a few new happenings but some of these pics are so sweltering(aren't they all?) made no sense holding on to them. Some new group news came out yesterday as Mai will be the headlining star at the 'Tokyo Girls Collection' Winter show next month. of course many other Nogi members will be there and think it would be more than the four shown in this promo pic.
Have a few new things for today but have also gone back in time for some older pics that have never been posted here before. Mai's looks have certainly changed in the six years she's been a Nogi member, wonder if her looks have changed the most? She was attractive many years ago but no where close to how she looks today, granted getting older has something to do with that but Mai was never that young to begin off with. On to two older sets with this first one going all the way back to March 2013, this is et from Sweet 20+ don't think this mag is still around.
Mai has three photobooks to date, her "Passport" PB from February of this year has sold about 230,000 copies which could be the highest total ever for an Idol. Never have talked about her second book "Mai Style" which was released in January 2015 about two months after her first PB. It was an okay collection of pics though it was also a bit disappointing, it was put out by Ray magazine and too many pics were from some past issues.
May have posted some pics from it though not too many, there were over ninety of them in the book. A style book is a bit different from a regular photobook, not as many gravure type of pics and there's usually much more text or articles along with other features. So guess if you look at the book that way it wasn't overly disappointing, hard to ever use that word when talking about Mai. Will post a few of the pics from the PB in these solo posts, have sixteen of them for today.
Nogi performed two concerts at the Tokyo Dome this week in front of 100,000 delirious fans. At the shows Mai made no mention of an impending graduation, all of us can breathe easier for the next few months. Mai will have a successful career once she does leave Nogi but it there's no way she'll be nearly as popular if she's out on her own, can't think of one big star Idol who has became more popular after a graduation. Two new mag spreads for today along with one other happening at the bottom. First of the two is from the December edition of Numero Tokyo.
That above set is an okay looking one but this next spread has the kinds of pics which has made Mai one of the most popular gals in Japan. This jaw-dropping collection of pics is from the November 24th issue of Friday and looks like they could be outtake pics from her "Passport" PB.
Have lost count on how many clothing lines or companies Mai represents as that total is so incredibly high. One of them is Cecil McBee who are celebrating their 30th anniversary. Pics here are from their Winter collection and following them is a video of the photo shoot.
