Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: 'Top Twenty Faves list for 2017' #7....?
These top twenty posts are now coming at such a rapid pace, knew all I needed was to break the ice and then they'd get easier to do, plus they've become much more enjoyable. Had contemplated when it was in the planning stages to perhaps have the list be one for my 'top twenty five faves' but thought that would be too difficult or perhaps it'd be watered down. Was wrong on both thoughts but you never realize things like that until you begin them, perhaps next year if I'm still here it'll be expanded.
Since I've hit the top twelve the list has become much easier and that's mainly because most of the faves are returnees from last year. Most of the new gals for this year are in the second ten, the top ten has seven huge faves that were in last year's list. Being a colossal fave of Nao's is certainly what Yuu is, last year she was fifth so she dropped two spots. Bit too slow of a year for Yuu has she only had a few mag spreads and can't think of her appearing at any kind of events.
She is very busy but the activities aren't what you may consider to be 'postable happenings'. Things like radio shows wouldn't be too interesting or her numerous TV appearances are seldom on YT for too long. Plus there's only been one single from Yuu this year which was 'Sayonara Standard". It was released on May 24th and posted the PV for it around that time. Video above is a really interesting one that's worth a watch as it's for the making of the PV. Sadly like most of Yuu's singles that past three years it didn't sell overly well as it just hit the #31 spot on the charts. Edit: Sigh, of course another YT video has been deleted....
As is the norm for me am playing some tunes from an honoree's album. Currently on is "Best of You" which is Yuu's only 'best of' album to date, currently playing is "Hapirapi Sunrise" which is her biggest hit as it # 4 on the Oricon charts back in 2011. Yuu's 12th single will be coming out on January 17th and is titled "Tokimeita no ni Through", other song is "Distortion".
There's been a lot of promoting for it already which seems way too early. Yuu has appeared at four small events the last week and there's a few more scheduled to promote it. Hopefully it'll pay off as Yuu deserves to get more recognition and you have to think her Idol days may be dwindling down as she will be turning 26 next May 1st.
Yuu is one of those mega faves of mine who will probably make this list every year regardless of how quiet she was in a year and there may only be one or two others I could say that about. As mentioned Yuu is a busy gal who does too many activities which don't make for interesting posts. Seems she appears almost every week on the 'Girls Live' show and also 'Showroom', both are Hello Project programs and a few are still on YT.
Yuu does a good job at updating her Instagram account along with her blog. Besides being beyond faultless Yuu is also such an intelligent woman, her blog entries are usually a fun read. Her Instagram account has a lot of pics there, here's some from the last month and there's even more than these.
Hopefully everyone knows who is in the bottom pic, that's Yuu best friend and here's another spoiler as she made the top five for the second year in a row. Hopefully everyone knows who she is as I have mentioned often how close the duo are, still need to do a 'pairs post' for the two.
The movie was just so-so but two weeks ago reviewed "Cheerfu11y" from 2011, Yuu had the lead role in it. Wasn't a terrific watch but good enough, lot of Idols were in the film which should make it a must watch. Currently playing is "Sweetie" from the "Best of You" album. That was never a single but could be close to being Yuu's best tune as it's such a upbeat and dancing tune with a solid rock sound to it.
Of all the faves of mine that made the list Yuu just may be the gal I would want to settle down with more than anyone else. She's such a cheerful person and as mentioned quite intelligent, she'd make a terrific variety show host with her personality and she already does host now and again many H!P shows. Plus you throw in Yuu's impeccable looks and it's easy to see why I'd take her over anyone which just may include the woman who hit #1 for this year.
Though not many new Yuu things think this post turned out well, actually every one so far for the top twenty list has and there's six more spots to go. Top four is all set, there are no ties but if there ever was one it would be between five and six, either way I can't go wrong. Your position can depend on whether you had many posts or activities for the year, Yuu was lacking on both which is why she was only seventh and that was after saying she could actually be my biggest fave of the bunch. Will end off with some better than quintessential pics and there's so many it's hard to pick out just a few. Yuu also has so many breathtaking videos on YT, check out one of them after the pics.
