Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Han Seung-Yeon: Her intro post- "Last Minute Romance" drama tidbits....
Few days ago said the next review would be for the "Steel Cold Winter" movie, it will be coming up but not next though I'm looking forward to viewing it. But for certain the next review will be for the short series "Last Minute Romance" which began on October 23rd. Say short because it was a web drama that consisted of ten episodes of about 15 minutes each.
The drama aired Monday through Friday for two consecutive weeks at 7:00 pm on JTBC and Naver. Watched the first half or five episodes which just totaled about seventy minutes, wish there were shows like this. Actually there are in both Japan and Korea but it's not often they're subbed.
This is the first thing I've seen Seung-Yeon in and it won't be my last as she's one cutie. She used to be a member of Kara and will have more info on her time with them along with a lot of other info and pics in her upcoming regular intro posts. High on my to watch list is "Age of Youth", there's two seasons and will be starting on them soon as Seung-Yeon is one of the stars of it.
In this drama Seung-Yeon plays Beak-Se who is a 27 year old working for a suicide hotline. She's been diagnosed with cancer and doesn't have long to live but halfway through the series don't know how much time she has left. Baek-se had received a 30 million won payout from her insurance company for her upcoming death, never heard of that happening before. She's so in love with an actor named Seol-Woo but will never have a chance to meet him.
With the insurance money Baek-Se hired an actor to play Seol-Woo and to be her boyfriend with the remaining time she has left to live. So far it's been kind of a lighthearted watch and one that's been enjoyable but bet the second half when Baek-Se nears her death could be a bit of a tearjerker.
Will have those recaps hopefully coming up on Saturday, if not after the day after X-Mas. On October 23rd Seung-Yeon and her co-star Lee Seo-won were at a press conference for the series, it took place at the JTBC studios in Sangam-dong, Seoul. At the very top is a mini promo video of the Baek-Se character, pics here are from the press conference followed by a video of it.

Glad to see another man of great taste. She was one of my two favorite members of Kara!
ReplyDeleteNot sure my tastes could be considered anywhere near great but looking forward to checking out more about her and Kara. Did go through your top ten songs for the year and while it'll be hard to convert me from being more of a J-Pop fan there were a couple winners there, Pristin's 'Wee Woo' may have been the best of the bunch. Twice I've heard a lot about, probably from your site, "Likey' is a decent tune also.
