Short promo video is at the top for this episode. None of the episodes have had a true cliffhanger to end off with so there's really no need to know how the previous show ended. However don't talk too much about what's happened up until now so if you're new every detail to date has been covered thoroughly so may be worth reading the older recaps first.
The top three are the the team of Lupinrangers, the bottom guy Kogure sets them up for their assignments to obtain pieces of the Lupin collection. He was an infamous French thief from over a century ago whose collection of pieces was stolen by the space alien group of monsters called Ganglers. Also after the collection are the Global Police who can transform themselves into the superhero trio of Patrangers, here are the three along with their commander who we rarely see.
Let's get right to the action today, last episode ended with the Lupinrangers failing for the first time to retrieve a Lupin collection piece from a Gangler. As Kairi was off fighting his own war with Destra his two teammates were in battle with the Gangler Bletz, also on the scene were the trio of Global Police officers. While the pair of Toma and Umika were able to defeat Bletz a terrible tragedy took place before they were able to get his collection piece.
The Global Police/Patrangers leader is Keiichiro, he has a new weapon called Biker Suppression. It's a very powerful gun and before the two Lupinrangers were able to get the Lupin piece Keiichiro used his weapon to blow up Bletz. But it wasn't just the Gangler that was blown to pieces but also his Lupin collection piece, it appears it's gone for good.
While Kairi was so enthused that he was able to retrieve a new piece it may be for naught as Toma and Umika told him what happened to the one they were supposed to get. The three need to collect all of the stolen Lupin pieces from the Ganglers, with that comes the power to bring back from the dead their three loved ones who perished a year before. It was never mentioned what would happen if they didn't collect every piece, the total is unknown but looks like even if they're missing one piece then their efforts will have been in vain.
Kairi stormed out of their Jurer bistro in a fury, he can't believe that his two teammates were unable to retrieve their piece. Toma and Umika headed back to the location where Bletz was destroyed but were unable to find any shreds of the piece. Umika had a thought though, when a Gangler is defeated another one has always appeared on the scene who is Gauche. She's able to bring back the defeated Gangler from being dead to a humongous monster.
When Bletz was defeated Gauche didn't appear to bring him back from the dead, that's the first time it's happened so what's the reason? The Global Police are also wondering why Gauche didn't revive Bletz, both teams have come up with the theory that the Gangler is somehow still alive. The Patrangers and Lupinrangers were both correct with that thought as Bletz is still around and the Patrangers were able to track it down to an abandoned warehouse near where he was defeated.
At first Bletz didn't seem to have any special powers except for being quite strong. But we found out that he's able to separate into two or more bodies with the others being decoys. When Keiichiro thought he destroyed Bletz it wasn't the real Gangler but his Doppleganger as the real Bletz was able to escape. But he's been found and now it's a five on one as Bletz is under attack by both the Patrangers and Lupinrangers.
The odds weren't in the favor of Bletz who was defeated rather easily, up until now the battles with the Ganglers had been getting much tougher. With his defeat Umika was finally able to get the Lupin piece that had eluded her the first time around, however the conflict with Bletz wasn't quite over. Now on the scene was Gauche, both teams knew they had defeated Bletz as she only appears on the scene when a Gangler has been destroyed.
The fight resumes as Gauche has revived Bletz who like the others before him is now about a two hundred foot tall monster. But now he's also able to split into more than one other body, for this skirmish there were now a hundred of him! For the third time it was the Lupinrangers who had to defeat a Gangler to save Tokyo from destruction, with the help of the Lupin weapon Good Striker the trio was able to defeat Bletz, on the scene to help his teammates was Kairi and the day was saved.
But the question you may be wondering is where was Kairi when Toma and Umika were squaring off against Bletz? There's another Gangler we met this show who is perhaps the strongest and most brutal one of all. It's name is Zamigo Delma and for now it appears he may have been the Gangler who froze and killed the three loved ones of the Lupinrangers. His specialty is freezing people and objects though he claims his main weapon isn't from the Lupin collection.
Kairi had tracked him down after hearing reports of an odd person who enjoyed chewing large blocks of ice. Kairi did locate Zamigo though their confrontation wasn't too long, Kairi's weapons against the Gangler had no affect on him. Zamigo's weapons are quite strong, it appeared he was going to defeat Kairi rather easily and he came so close to doing so.
However there's a Lupin weapon that their handler Kogure is letting the team use. It has many different capabilities and one is to create a strong shield which prevented Zamigo from making Kairi a block of ice. With the Patrangers and Kairi's two teammates about to join in the battle Zamigo took his leave but he's going to be one difficult Gangler to defeat in the future. Kairi has also been wondering if they can beat him in a battle will their loved ones come back to life? Don't think so but we'll find out if that's true in upcoming episodes as this one has come to it's finish.
Not as exciting as the previous nine episodes but still a fine watch, all ten shows have been a fun view. As usual will have the next recap same time next week and hopefully will also be having a few other drama posts before then. Two will be a pair that have been ongoing but there's a new series that just started called "Voice Girl". Two episodes have aired with both of them being subbed so hope to have posts for that show very soon.
