Not going to be an ongoing tradition but have been enjoying starting off these recent Nogi posts with pics of the other Mai though she's no 'other' to me. Last month she was appointed as an exclusive model for Andgirl and Oggi, hope that means we'll be seeing much more of her in the future. Wonder if she still works as an OL for Sony? Am now checking her bio out at a Japanese site, think she left them back in March 2018 to concentrate more on her Idol career, makes sense as an Idol's career doesn't last for too many years. Still think Mai has the top legs of any Nogi member and did read she won some sort of award for them a few years ago.
As many fans may know last night on Nogi's 'Construction' show they announced the lineup for the group's 23rd single. Glad to see some of my faves from the Undergirls were promoted but these days there's just too many Senbatsu members, 22(!) in all which may be the most they've ever had. To me more doesn't mean better, the Undergirls did have their own solo album which sold well so why not let them have their own single like Keya did with their members?
Asuka will be the center of the song, since the last single which came out in November four key members have graduated and sooner or later you have to wonder if graduations will eventually affect their sales. Am glad the Miria finally made it to being a Senbatsu member, only two years late but least she's finally made it. Also Hinako is on the single and she really worked hard to get back to being a Senbatsu, no title yet to the single which comes out on May 29th.
Nogi's fourth album comes out in two days, guess they're sure it'll be a huge seller as there's been virtually no promoting for it except for some handshake events. That May 29th date for the next single is four days after Nanase's 25th birthday. Had a feeling there would be a slowdown with her posts but not to this extent, there's only been one in the past six weeks.
She's still quite busy but not being in Nogi means not appearing in as many mags plus there's no group cards and only one event for her the past two months. But she does have new pics for the 'GRL' Spring collection, will save the solo pics for a Nanase solo post but do have some here with Asuka who to me is now Nogi's msot popular member.
That bottom pic is pretty darn good! Asuka has been an exclusive model for the Sweet magazine for many years now and usually represents them at the huge fashion shows. On April 13th she was at an event for the magazine which was a bit of a private show for their models but also they were celebrating their 20th anniversary.
There's going to be yet another 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show this weekend, will have a post or two for it but think these are the only four members who will be at the show. Will also have some posts as Keya and their sister group have ten members who will be taking a stroll on the catwalk. Also Miona will be at some special fashion the following weekend.
On to a few new mag spreads, just three for today but bet I've had twenty this past month. Manatsu is looking much better these days, not that she ever looked bad at all but she seems to be a lot more attractive. Don't want to see her leave but honestly thought she would have announced her graduation by now, she has the first set which is from the May issue of EX-Taishu.
A member who did announce her graduation is Karin Ito, she did that on March 22nd but don't think an official date has been set yet. Have always liked her but as is the case for too many Undergirls she never appeared in many mags or events. This set is from the same EX-Taishu issue and she does look so, so good in these pics.
All must know me by now so that means saved the best for last. Usually that means a Hinako spread, if you guessed that you were correct and she's appeared in five of them the past two months. At one time that was nothing for her but after taking a leave of absence and becoming an Undergirl her mag appearances dwindled to almost zero. Final set is brand new from edition #17 of WPB.
