Park Min-Young: "Her Private Life" drama episode one screenshots
This is not going to be a recap which may make many viewers jump for joy. But Min-Young does have many fans here these days, hadn't done a Korean drama post for a while so this is the second primer for this drama which started yesterday on tvN. Am planning on recapping the entire series but for now have no schedule on when it'll be done. Have realized the hard way I can't keep up with two one hour shows a week so as is my norm will probably let the series finish and then go a marathon view of the drama.
Then again will try to somehow keep up but there's 3-4 other dramas I'm trying to squeeze in too. So thought I'd have a very mini post for the first episode which I did enjoy, second show aired today but haven't viewed it yet. Perhaps with a short post like this one will learn a secret on how to make my recaps a tad shorter to keep interest but lately been doing a good job at the that. At the top of the post is a short video promoting the first two episodes with clips from many scenes.
Min-Young plays the character of Deok-Mi who is about thirty in age and works as a curator at the Chaeum Gallery. To her co-workers and boss Deok-Mi is such a boring person and has no life outside of work, if they only knew! Above are some pics of Deok-Mi setting up the gallery for a new exhibit, she had to work all night with her two associates to set it up from scratch but the task was accomplished. However at the opening of the exhibit Deok-Mi received no credit from the emcee of the show and instead the credit went all to Deok-Mi's boss Eom.
Deok-Mi skipped out of the exhibit early which is where we discovered what her private life is. Though around thirty in age Deok-Mi is a mega fangirl of Korean boy groups, she left the event early to see her fave group arriving at the airport. That group is named White Ocean, it's made up of five members but the one Deok-Mi is mainly concerned about is Shi-An. He has to be at least five years younger but that doesn't matter to Deok-Mi who would do anything for her heartthrob.
Deok-Mi has never met the love of her life but her home is a shrine to Shi-An. Deok-Mi had taken some excellent pics of him at the airport arrival and has a blog or other account set up for his pics. While on the 'net Deok-Mi discovered that his birthday is coming up in a few weeks, she also found out he's a huge fan of the painter Lee Sol's work. There's a huge auction with a painting of his at it, the event will be held in Shanghai and Deok-Mi persuaded her boss to let her make the trip to buy other paintings.
But at the auction Deok-Mi's hopes of giving the love of her life the painting were dashed as she was outbid. The man who did that was named Ryan, he's a Korean currently living in America. He was once a famous painter but has had some problems doing his craft the past three years, why is not really known at this time but he is seeing a psychologist. Deok-Mi begged Ryan to sell her the painting and he refused, it was the only time they met in this show but won't be the last.
Upon her return to Korea Deok-Mi was taken into custody a the gallery. Seems Eom and her husband have created a slush fund account from the paintings they've sold or were supposed to sell, for the time being the gallery is closed. Meanwhile the White Ocean fangirl is unsure about her future, will she or won't she have a position in the future?
She will but on that gallery closing note will end this brief primer. This first episode lasted 74 minutes(!), what I've recapped was just for the first forty minutes as I just wanted to get some screenshots for Min-Young fans. Did watch the whole episode though which turned out to be a fun one, want to watch at least one more show before I begin on these recaps. Two episodes air a week and will try to keep up with it somewhat but won't promise anything except for the fact will post about every episode sooner or later. As mentioned Min-Young's fan base has risen here and know many will enjoy these screenshots, as usual she looks to good to be true.
