Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Yuki Uchida: A real blast from the past....
Don't think of Yuki as my #1 these days but if she's referring to me..... gulp.....
Actually at one time Yuki was my number one of all time, on the top twenty all time list that was done back in September/October she finished in the fifth position. She's the oldest woman I post about by far as Yuki turned 43 last November but she still blows away 99% of the gals that are half her age.
Will admit that I've kind of forgotten about Yuki the past few months though no one is to blame. She had a huge role in the "Mampuku" asadora, those dramas last for 26 weeks and you usually don't see the stars of that show as they're so busy filming. But that series ended on March 30th so have a strong feeling we'll be seeing much more of Yuki as she's someone who appears at so many events and premieres, the latter is the main reason for this post.
For those who don't know Yuki too well I consider her to be the top 'Drama Queen' of the past fifteen years. No actress has appeared in as many series as she has, she usually just has the second or third biggest part but has had her share of starring roles. She also may have been the most popular idol of the 90's and so many of today's could learn a thing or two from her. I have every single one of her albums and highly recommend all of them, am about to put one on. At the top is Yuki singing her 1996 single "Shiwase ni Naritai" that hit #6 on the charts.
Though over forty new pics there's only two happenings for this post but as mentioned above expect to be seeing a lot more of Yuki this Summer or I really hope so. Also mentioned that she has to be the biggest 'Drama Queen' for the past decade, she had one long series that ended on March 30th and barely two weeks later she started in another one.
That show is titled "Watashi, Teiji de Kaerimasu" or I Will Not Work Overtime. It does have a solid cast and looks like an interesting show but have such a backlog of dramas to get to it'll be a while until I can view it. Have seen ten of Yuki's dramas and all have been solid shows but have another thirty or so to get to.... these are from the new drama and an event held on April 9th.
What Yuki has done quite a bit of the past five years is dubbing English speaking films. with all of her dramas where does she find the time? She does have a nice and clear voice, if you're trying to learn Japanese listening to her clearness really helps as she's easier to understand. Yuki's latest dub is of the character Wasp in the new 'Avengers' film that opened in Japan on April 16th. She looked so super duper at the premiere, hard to believe she's 43 in age but looks better the older she gets. The -event was held in the Roppogni Hills section of Tokyo, if you're a J-Pop fan you may recognize the two of the gals at her side. Talked about her voice and if want to listen to a short clip of her there's a new video after the pics for the current drama.
