Lee Se-Young: Yes, her first post ever!!!!

Few more introductions than usual lately, perhaps there will be one or two more and that should finish them off for a while. Have been back on a Korean drama binge and actually have been on one for five months or so save for about a two week break. Most years go three months on for watching dramas and posting about actresses, then take a few months off from them. That won't be the case this year as I do expect more posts than ever for actresses and dramas, have five or so excellent series to view in their entirety. Really don't know where to begin, have watched at least two shows from each series. May start off by doing those posts on my other blog, we'll see how things go.
There's so many Korean actresses who I like quite a bit and have been curious about but there's only so much time to watch dramas and/or do posts for them. Se-Young is someone I've been aware of for at least four years, just began on her latest drama today so said guess it's time to break the ice for her. "Memorist" is the name of the show which just ended yesterday, tend to wait until a drama has finished so I can have a marathon viewing them. Quite an intense series and after going through a
so-so stretch in the Autumn for dramas there's been so many terrific ones the past four months and as I've mentioned there's not enough time to watch them all or really even a quarter of them.

Se-Young will be turning 28 in December but has already been around for sixteen years as she was twelve when she first started acting. Like most Korean actresses Se-Young did attend university and got a degree in media communications. And like most Korean actresses have plenty of older things to post about her so expect a few more of these coming up soon. First was aware of Se-Young from the "Vampire Detective" show back in 2016 and she really looked different in that series.

Not enough Se-Young mag spreads which is the case for most actresses so need to space them out, this set is from the April 2019 issue of Grazia and the bottom four are from the photo shoot.

Didn't plan on doing this post until a few hours ago so it may not be as massive as others but it'll be large enough plus there will be a few more of these posts coming up. "Memorist" aired on tvN which is a cable network, it did well with ratings usually over 3% which is solid for the channel. It began on March 11th and just finished it's run yesterday. Most of the series revolves around the character of Baek who is a youngish detective. But he's got an amazing ability which is that he can read people's memories just by touching them. He's solved so many cases in such a short stretch of time but is kind of a difficult person to work with and has been disciplined many times.
The second main character is Sun-Mi who is played by Se-Young. She's a investigator who is trying to solve two murders though the cases hadn't been assigned to her. She feels it's been the work of a serial killer and when a young woman was abducted she felt positive about her serial killer theory. She asked her supervisor to give her all of the cases which he agreed to, Sun-Mi's stipulation was that Baek wasn't to get involved. But of course we know how that turned out and unsure if the two will become a team in future shows. Two half hour episodes aired back to back on Wednesdays and Thursdays, these first two shows were quite intense and action packed. And like another recent drama so much took place they need to be viewed a second time.

On March 3rd, eight days before the drama began, there was an event held at the tvN studios which was broadcast live and it's a shame there weren't more solo pics.

Se-Young looked fine in the above pics but has looked better at so many other events such as this screening which took place on April 4, 2018. She had the lead role in the film "Duck Town" which came out two weeks after this special screening. Judging by the title it may not appear to be an interesting movie but reading the synopsis really makes me want to view it. There are some videos of the event but instead of one of them have the film's trailer after the pics.

  2. Usually wait until a drama finishes until I view and/or recap it. May not do many posts for the "Memorist" series though it is a fine show, will be doing a few posts with Se-Young's screenshots from the drama. Had never heard of So-Nee until now, she's about to turn 29 yet has only been around for two years so don't think there's much out there for her.

  3. Look forward to your posts and comments on the Memorist.
New actresses and models don't have the weight of work published as actresses and models doing it longer that is true.
I enjoyed her Instagram posts of so-nee.
