Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Lee Se-Young: Her highly(?) anticipated second intro post....

Second of what I hope will be about five of these intro posts though guess after a few there's no need to call them intros. Have gotten into a small habit of doing 2-3 of these posts for someone and then promptly forgetting about them, won't for Se-Young and there's a pair of other newbies who need a few posts in this vein. But don't think you'll be seeing many new gals around here for a while, did introduce about four of them in the last month and one reason for that was because of the massive slowdown in activities for many of my faves.
However think I'm at the point where there's plenty of women to talk about, if there's nothing going on then that's the way it is and it's not the end of the world going a day or two with no posts. Have been using this slowdown to watch my vast backlog of dramas but haven't watched as many episodes of Se-Young's "Memorist" series as I've wanted to.

Perhaps the reason is that I've grown a bit tired of writing up such lengthy drama recaps and don't think there will be many posts for the series. Next full length Korean drama I'm planning on doing is "Born Again" which still has a few weeks to go before it's finished. So the plan is do include some of Se-Young's screenshots in her solo posts with a very brief recap of that episode.
Her first post did have some screenshots from episode one of "Memorist", have a few for today that were missed and in her next post there may be over 25 of them. Very briefly the drama centers around a young detective named Baek who can read people's memories by just touching that person. He's been able to solve many cases that way but he's kind of a 'problem child' and has been demoted or suspended a few times.
Se-Young plays the character of Sun-Mi who at thirty years old is the youngest superintendent at her police station located in Seoul. She's been secretly investigating the murders of two young woman who she believes is the work of a serial killer. When another young woman is kidnapped it appears Sun-Mi was right with her theory and the hunt for the killer goes on into the third episode. She did not like Baek at all and had asked that henot be allowed to help her out on the case but their paths did cross. Bit of an intense drama and Se-Young's character does look older than 27 which is her age in real life. Did begin writing up the recap for the first show but just couldn't finish it as I'm a tad burnt out from writing about dramas or at least Korean ones for now which will be changing very shortly.

Didn't really work as hard at this post as most others but there's still fifty terrific pics most have never seen, don't want to use too many of Se-Young's pics yet as I'd like her to have another 3-4 posts in the next month. Have a pair of mag spreads for today and she seems to appear in more of them than most Korean actresses. This first set is from the May 2016 edition of Esquire and you'll notice how different Se-Young looks. She had the blond hair for her role in the "Vampire Detective" drama and have to admit really like those blond tresses....

Brand new spread for Se-Young that's from the April issue of Singles, Korean mag spreads are so much smaller than the ones from Japan.

Also have a pair of events and like so many actresses from Korea Se-Young looks so superb at them and they're usually so much better than magazine spreads. This first batch is from the 53rd 'Baeksang Arts Awards' show that was held on May 3, 2017 and she won a best new actress award. Hate those kinds of awards as she had been in so many dramas and films before winning it.

Dressed a bit sultry above but these pics here are my faves for today. Once again Se-Young made an appearance at the same awards show but this was #54 that was held on May 3, 2018. No awards were won at that year's show though she was a presenter and could have won something for the way she was dressed, like a few trillion Won!!!! No solo video of her at this show but do have a short one from the above show following the pics.
