Rika Izumi.... Is here to save the day!!!!

 

 That's because it appeared there wouldn't be a post for today as it's a bit of a slow stretch for my

non-J-Pop Idols. But Rika is one of those very few who I can depend upon when the going gets tough, think there's only three others who have had more posts than she's had in the last 46 months. Say that number as her first ever post was at the end of July 2017 and she's been unstoppable since then. Really thought this was going to be a slower year for Rika posts and hope I'm wrong with more of those predictions! This is her fourth post in this vein the last three months plus there's been a pair of recaps for the drama she currently has the lead role in.

 About a year from now will do my second 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' list, the first was done about three years ago. It's not a list you can do that often so figure four years between them should be a long enough period. Bring that up as most should know by now that there aren't many bigger faves to me than Rika. She has an excellent chance of topping that list when it's done in 2022 and the way I look at it it should be a battle between three gals, possibly a fourth. Be funny then if she was #1 as Rika has never been my top woman of a year but has come so darn close. The last four years on the list her rankings have been third, fourth, sixth and fifth in that order so consistency goes a long way.

 Rika is currently in the drama "Takane no Hana-san" and it's her first time having the lead role in a series. My plan was to have a pair of recaps every other week for the eight episode show but that hasn't worked out so well. Posted the recaps for the first two shows, then wrote up the one for episode three. But there's been a problem with the subs and thought the project had been dropped. But it appears it's now back on though no shows past three have been subbed. They should be in the next week or so, when that happens will have two batches of three recaps. Drama posts aren't nearly as popular as others but the first two recaps have been the most viewed drama posts in two years!

 Rika's last post was on April 22nd which was exactly a month ago but have 55 brand new pics since then. As usual none are in the gravure vein but that's fine by me as she looks beyond perfect in any kind of modeling pics, also in those screenshots above. Have plenty of new modeling pics for today but first let's go back in time to August 2, 2017. There hasn't been any recent Rika events and to me her classy style at them is almost impossible to top. This event was to promote the DVD of the film 'La La Land" and she's really cut back on her appearances the last two years.  Now on to some terrific new modeling pics which are mainly for Spring/Summer collections. this first batch is from Apuweiser.

 Besides her current drama Rika is also going to be in a pair airing in the second half of the year. She'll be turning 33 in October but has been busier than ever, this batch is from the Noela site.

 May marks Rika's second anniversary as a Oggi model but she did appear in their mags before that. There's usually plenty of superb new pics at their site and have some for today yet there hasn't been any new ones since April 29th.

 Just one mag spread for today but it's a stupendous one from the May issue of Oggi.

 Will end off with this set for the Stola Spring collection as to me they're the best ones of the day and her modeling pics are somehow getting even more perfect! Rika has been a  spokesperson for Indeed since 2018 and has too many CM's to count for them. There is a new one but won't have it for today as it really isn't all that good. So after the pics have a short promo video for her second photobook that came out in April 2020, posted it before but it definitely needs to be viewed again.
