Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Keyakizaka46: Their sixth stimulating post for 2022!

Of course no Rika in this post as she left Keya over five months ago. In two days she'll be turning 27 but there won't be a post for her, she's 'semi retired' from show biz but it could be she just wanted a break for a while, if there's ever any news for her will have it in a group post. And these group posts have been coming much more frequently this year as this makes six in seven weeks after going five months without one. Hope you won't get tired of '46' posts as there will be many of them this week, tomorrow will have another Keya group post along with a solo one for a member. Plus within this week will have 2-3 Hina group posts and perhaps four solo ones, we'll see how it works out and lately it seems those groups are the only ones who seem to be doing much of anything.

Have a nice variety of things for these group posts, did say there would be one tomorrow and with any luck perhaps another later on this week. After that do expect Keya to step back for a while as Hina's next single comes out on June 1st so they'll be in the spotlight for a while. 'Japan Jam' is a mini monthly musical festival that has been going on for many years, up until September they'll be staging these festivals and the first one for 2022 was held on May 1st. Keya was the headlining act for that concert and they did a mini set of seven songs, of course they're now known as Sakura and still don't do any older Keya tunes at shows. The concert took place at the Soga Sports Park in the city of Chiba, some pics from the show but there's no video of the entire concert. But there's many clips on YT from it, this one is from 'The Time' show as a Nogi fave also enjoys the music of Keya: Japan Jam

A member we've been seeing so much more of lately is Mizuho or it seems that way to me. Never was a huge fan of her but do admit she's looking pretty darn good these days and will be turning 25 on July 7th. She's a model for the Classy and some recent pics here from their site.

More Mizuho who along with five other members was at today's Spring/Summer 'Girls Award' show. It's their first regular show since September 2019 and will have pics for other members in tomorrow's posts. She took her stroll on the Samantha Thavasa promoting handbags and the show took place at the Makuhari Hesse Hall in Chiba.

At the beginning of every month the members have a new pic with a message at the Keya site. Last post had eleven of those pics, have ten more for today but am missing a member and who was it?

Been doing a good job at having pics for as many different members in these posts, hard to have pics for certain members but have gotten to just about everyone. These are some recent blog pics from Yui Takemoto and it seems Hina posts so many more blog/IG pics. Two of the pics were from an April MTV Awards show where Keya/Sakura were chosen as the best pop group of 2021.

Have so many new promo pics for the 'Uni's on Air' web game could devote a post just to them. Have eight pics for four members today, first four will be from April and they're a bit odd. They're promo pics for the group's first tour under the Sakura name which took place last September and October, why'd they wait to long to release them? The other four are pics for May which just came out a few days ago. First off in this set is Aoi who just turned 22 on May 7th, she's going to be graduating and unsure if the date will be the same as Risa's farewell concert on May 22nd. After her is the first generation member Rina Uemura who I rarely mention in these posts but she's looking mighty fine too these days. She turned 25 back in January so she's Keya's second oldest member.

Have another pair of first generation members, leading off is Minami and how I wish there could be more solo posts for her. Few years ago she became a 'blonde' but then went back to her original hair color, as you can see she's switched back after hearing blondes have more fun! After her is Fuyuka and she's another member you don't see that often these days, on the group's variety show you do but not at events or in magazines.

Will just have one magazine spread for this post but it's a superb one from the May 25th issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday. The cover girls are Karin and Yumiko, she just had her first ever solo post two weeks ago and the bottom five pics are from the photo shoot.

Hina's variety show is usually subbed within a week after it airs. That's not the case for the "Soko Magattara Sakurazaka" show as often the subs aren't done until 3-4 weeks later. So that's why I'm always behind on these mini recaps but am not complaining as for a while no one was subbing the show which after being in a slump as really become an enjoyable watch again. For today have a recap for episode #76 which aired on April 10th, it's a two part show and will have the conclusion of the game in tomorrow's post. The game was 'Wolf Queen Team Championship' and these two shows were quite entertaining. In a 'Wolf' game the object is to pick out the person from a group of 4-5 members who is telling the truth, the others are all saying lies.

It's not as easy as you think to pick out who the person telling the truth is. Four members were absent so there were two teams of nine, one was named Red Konnyaku. The other team was just named 'Cool' and seeing as how they were dressed in blue wouldn't 'Cool Blue' have been a better team name? First match was with 'Blue' trying to figure out who the real Hono was, all five wore masks plus their voices were distorted which made it much more difficult. However team 'Blue' picked the correct contestant which got them ten points, the winning team will get yummy treats which are in the sixth screenshot. The Red Konnyaku team also were correct in guessing who the real Akiho was so the match was tied after one round. Hate to give away spoilers but that was the final time either team was correct in this game so while both teams lost there was a winner who will be revealed in the next post.
