EDIT: It's May 31st and the worst thing to happen took place yesterday as Akari announced her graduation, more info on that in her next post.
This is turning out to be the best month of the year for posts, quality and quantity! Just need six more to set a new high for monthly posts which should happen easily and with any luck may approach seventy. But think I'll be taking the last two days of this month off, next Monday is a holiday plus the following is the last day of the month. Always take the final day off and it's so rare when it comes after a holiday but as a reward will have some stupendous posts coming up! Also have a chance to set a record for most views in a month, not sure if this one will help out that much. 😨
That heading is on the money and have said that about others too. There is a group who I wish could have posts on a more consistent basis and #1 in that group by far is Akari. To my pleasant surprise she did have three posts towards the end of last year but this is her first since then, the new goal is to have two more by the end of the Summer which may not sound like many but they're not easy to do. Actually at one time doing posts for SKE members wasn't too difficult but that's certainly changed over the last three years. At one time they used to be my top '48' group and always thought they had the hottest members but the times have changed....
So while
Akari may not have as many posts as she deserves most have been quite large, not sure what change could have happened but if things were different could see her battling to be my #1 of all time! That may sound like a stretch but if you've read her previous posts you know how long she's been such a massive fave of mine. So the question could be will
Akari make my 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list when it's begun in a little over two months from now? For the longest time was saying
no to that with the main reason being the lack of posts which hasn't been her fault. That's her only negative as
Akari is certainly qualified as she finished second on the yearly fave's list back in 2018 and her only photobook is my fifth fave of all time. Plus if there was ever a list of my hottest Idols ever could see her being around the third spot so obviously this is a woman who I've liked immensely but because of the lack of posts not many may have realized it.
I've been wanting to do a post like this for months but there's been so few new things even though SKE did have a single come out on Mach 9th, like most current groups their sales have really fallen. But did mention how at one time they were my top '48' group and it's worth checking their older songs out, their singles from 2010-13 may have been the best of any J-Pop group. So while
Akari hasn't been nearly as busy as she once was due to the lack of SKE activities do have many new pics for today though there's not that many different things. The biggest reason for doing this post is that she's such a massive fave of mine but also because newer viewers may not know much about her. It's worth checking her older posts out and this first set are SKE group cards from April.
No Idol past or present posts as many Instagram pics as
Akari does and could have had two posts for all of her 2022 pics! To top it off the pics are always the best ones from any Idol and this batch are from the last five weeks, could have had so many more.
Here's something you don't see too often. Not talking about someone throwing a baseball but as you notice she's a southpaw yet....
... when playing a guitar or writing she uses her right hand(!), don't know if it's true but that seems very rare to me. Last November
Akari had her first solo concert, being a solo act means she doesn't perform many upbeat songs but if she did could she have a future as a rocker? On May 20th her second solo concert took place in her hometown of Nagoya at the Marriott Hotel. She played a total of eight tunes, few SKE and AKB songs along with a some classic J-Pop ones. As you can see she had a costume change after every other song and let me search to see if there's any videos on YT from the show but it being in a small place odds are against it.
As I've been writing this post have been realizing that Akari really does deserve to make my all time faves list. So will hold back one thing so I can have another post for her before the countdown begins which will be in about ten weeks. What we truly need are some new mag spreads, not many top hers from over the years yet there's been none since this one from the November issue of Bubka.
There were some pics in that spread of
Akari playing Mahjong and that's because she had the lead role in a 2021 movie about the game but haven't been able to find it anywhere. We've hit the end of this post, lot of pics with many of them new but not enough different activities. So while
Akari may not have the figure of many other Idols in my eyes there's only 2-3 of them which top her hotness so will end off with many of my top pics and most newer viewers may have never seen many of them. No decent new videos but that's nothing new! So after the pics have the PV for SKE's latest single "Kokoro ni Flower" which is an okay tune.... did forget to mention she'll be turning 31 on October 31st! The video is subbed in English but seeing as how it's on the AVEX channel it'll probably be deleted....
