Nogi's third album 'Umarete' which came out on the 24th also included a few DVD's with the special edition. One of the videos was a 2016 documentary of the group, watched it yesterday and even without subs it was a fairly interesting watch. What was nice is that Mai F. and Nanami were in it even though both have graduated, the pair played guitars on "Shibuya Blues" and bet the group doesn't perform that song these days.
"Asahinagu" is a manga and a popular one too which is about the adventures of a female swashbuckler named Asahi. Currently eight Nogi members are starring in a stage adaption of it which started on May 20th and did a post for the play on that date.
In the play Asuka has the lead role of Asahi, above are the eight members in the play. The movie version though has fourteen members, lot of members have appeared solo in films but this is the first time so many have appeared together in one. Perhaps a movie written about the group would be a bit better, maybe they could all be superheroes or something along those lines.
The movie will be opening on September 22, she's not in the play but Nanase will have the lead role of Aashi in the film. On May 30th there was a press conference where the cast was announced and it took place at the EX Theater in Roppogni. Whopping total of sixty something pics here from the event and could have had even more. What was nice was seeing Erika at the event as she hasn't been doing too many group activities as her stage plays have kept her so busy.
Won't list the names of all fourteen members, let's see if everyone's 'Name that Nogi member' has gotten better over the years. What's surprising is that the movie's trailer is already out and you can view it after all of these pics, first one is a poster of the film.
