While I was viewing this concert got to thinking about Nogi's alumni. And that was of the two popular members Mai F. and Nanami who both had huge graduation concerts. Neither one was streamed nor has a DVD of those shows come out and there's no good explanation for it. Never understood why Nogi concerts are so hard to get on DVD while Hello Project does such a superb job releasing them and Nogi's management should take some lessons from them.
Probably not the most exciting of posts but have many superb screenshots from this concert which took place on September 15th. It was also Ayano's graduation show and will do a solo post for her again soon. She's just 22 while Minami is now 26 and guess that's getting a bit old for an Idol though I really think she enjoys being one. Besides having another post for this show will have one for her this weekend as Minami will be having an event for her first photobook which came out last Friday.
At the top is an excellent short video of last Friday's graduation concert which took place at Zepp in Tokyo, the small venue holds 2,700+ fans and bet this show drew close to 3,000. The concert was streamed on Nico which is the version I watched and it's a very long show at three hours.
So far just viewed the first half so haven't seen the graduation speeches yet, will be sobbing for Minami's and that's for sure. The group performed sixteen songs plus one really long medley of hits and there may not be a more energetic J-Pop group then Up Up Girls. They did announce they'll be continuing on as a quintet and their next single will be November.
After that they'll be going on tour, I'll still be following UUG as they really are a fun group with so many top notch singles. Quite a few Minami screenshots here from the first half of the show and could have taken more but then again it's tough to take screenshots with these gals as they're always moving at a rapid pace.
bollocks that they're both going, only really got to know about them through here.
ReplyDeleteIt's ridiculous tho with Mai.F and Nanami's graduation because that was filmed without a doubt, 100% bollocks m8.
To me think Nogi's management cares way too much about the money these days, less about pleasing the fans and quality of things. There's really no reason for neither graduation concert not to be out on DVD, now it's getting to the point where it's too late.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, i think so too. tsk tsk m8
