Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Yuki Uchida: "Saiki Kusuo no Sainan" movie screening pics and more....

As all have noticed do post quite a bit about Idols but one who I haven't posted about in over a year is Yuki who is by far my #1, she's set the standard in Idolism if that's a word.. But she hasn't been one in many years now as her last single "Rakuen" came out in 1999, shame Yuki quit singing then as that was my fave single from her and I do have every album she's put out.
These days Yuki could almost be considered a 'Drama Queen', she's appeared in about 25 the last seven years and bet I've seen her in a total of twenty dramas in all, her first one was in 1992. "Big Wing" is probably hard to find these days but that's been her best to date, "Dare Yorimo Mama wa Ai su" from 2006 is also highly recommended. Next month the fifth season of 'Doctor X' begins and she's been in every season as Hiromi, hopefully they'll be some pics from an event for the show.

Yuki will be appearing in a new movie titled "Saiki Kusuo no Sainan" which will have it's premiere on October 21st, over a year without a post but we may have three within a month. Yesterday the movie had it's first screening at the Marunouchi Piccadilly in Tokyo. Yuki is by far the oldest woman I've posted about but to me she's looking better every year,  these are some truly stupendous pics from the event and it's a shame there weren't more.

Lot of the pics from Yuki's older posts have been deleted by the unscrupulous lowlifes at Photobucket and don't think I'll be going back to replace them. However with some upcoming posts may have a few of her older mag spreads and other happenings included in them. "Cats Eye" is now twenty years old, that was the first film I saw Yuki in. It was a hard to believe movie as it was kind of off the wall though she looked ultra superb in it and here are some promo pics for it.

The Young Jump spreads these days certainly don't leave much to the imagination but their pics weren't always that way and especially back in the 90's. Here's a very, very old Yuki spread from the mag which came out in November 1995 which was the month Yuki turned twenty and that bottom pic as a farm girl..... 😍

Last happening for today is from a TagHeuer event back in 2012, Yuki naturally looked so dazzling but thought she looked older than she does now. Few pics from the event followed by a longish video which is worth a view.

  1. woahh pretty ladyy 😍 Now although she looks stunning, to me the 90s is where it's at, also the 80s(especially the 80s!)

  2. Most J-Pop tunes from the 90's and 2000's were so much better than the ones these days, there were many more popular solo artists back then and Yuki's songs were among the best.

  3. Did some digging around the 90s and all that, real nice...but now i'm hooked on her short hair(like the '95 Young Jump) coz that was 'da bomb', just like Aya Ueto when she was 'da bomb' with short hair

  4. Speaking of Aya her first drama "Namida o Fuite" was with Yuki who was somewhat of her bigger sister though the two weren't related and that was one fine series.

  5. I like her so much. She is the prettiest lady I have ever seen in my life. Looking forward to her next drama in 2018. Thank you for keep posting about yuki!
