Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Park Min-Young: 2017 happenings #1....

May not seem it but it's been a very slow stretch for my faves, not many posts lately for new activities except for Nogi which is a given. Doesn't seem that way as I've been able to play some catch up with older happenings and been able to introduce a few new faves this past month.
It's also give me a chance to start posting again about Korean dramas and actresses, as far as actresses go Min-Young would be in my top three and not far from the top spot. Kind of a mystery then why this is only her sixth post so will try to double that number by the end of the year as there's truly just a handful of women in the world who come close to her dazzling looks.

So often I do plan on doing a post or two for Min-Young, seems almost every time those plans get aborted. No more of that though as there will be at least one more post for her 2017 events this week, possibly even two and then perhaps it'd be nice to take a trip with her down memory lane.
Was thinking of doing some rewatches of her older dramas, her 2011 series "City hunter" is one that shouldn't be missed. It's based upon a Japanese manga, the Korean version of it easily blew away the Japanese drama. Another show is "Healer" from 2014-15, started that drama but for some reason never finished it even though it was a good show. Had been planning on doing some recaps for the series, once again those plans fell through.

Think I'll be starting again on that drama very soon. You'll notice that Min-Young had shorter hair back then, she of course looked 99.99% perfect but do prefer her with longer tresses and she has grown it back. Min-Young's last drama was "Queen for Seven Days" which aired from May 31st until August 3rd. Don't think I'll view that show as those older period dramas aren't my cup of tea, there's a few other shows she's been in that I'd rather check out first. On May 29th there was an event for the 'Queen' drama and Min-Young certainly made some tongues wag....

Compared to their Japanese counterparts Korean actresses appear in very few magazines and tend to do more modeling for fashion companies. Min-Young though seems to appear in more mags than most and kind of wish they had photobooks like the ones in Japan. Have two spreads today with the first being from the April edition of Esquire.

The Korean mag spreads are also much tamer than the Japanese ones. Second set is a superb set of pics from the May issue of InStyle.

Min-Young has been representing Compagna for too many years to count, she has so many pics for their annual collections. On August 26th she was at a fan signing session for the company.

Plenty of fine looking Min-Young pics here from the Compagna Autumn/Winter collection and next post will have the pics for Spring and Summer. No video on YT yet for this season so have a promo one after the pics from 2015.
