Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Dream Ami (Ami Nakashima): Her intro post #1....

The name in parenthesis is her real name while the Dream part is her stage name. However for this and future posts Ami requested that I just use Ami and to please her that's what I'll do. And with the way Ami looks who wouldn't want to keep pleasing her, if I ever had a list(another?) for kawaiiness than she would definitely be in the top five.

For the longest of time thought that Ami and Dream/E-Girls were from Korea though think she's 100% Japanese. Seems that so many Korean pop Idols tend to dye their hair in a blondish hue which was why I originally had thought she came from there. A blonde J-Pop Idol is a rarity as most seem to dye their hair red.
At the very top of the post is the PV for Ami's fourth solo single "Hayaku Aitai" which was released on March 22nd, 2017. It hit the seventh position on the Oricon charts and all of her five solo singles have hit the top ten. Ami certainly doesn't look it but she's been a J-Popper for over 15 years now!!!! Not that it's a record but she she began when she was fourteen back in 2002, on May 11th of this year she'll be hitting the age of thirty but her activities have picked up the older she's gotten.
In 2002 Ami joined the group Dream and they were together until last year. It started out with eight members but by 2016 there were just four left. The gals from Dream were also members of E-Girls who consist of many other Idols and are extremely popular. They may have a J-Pop record as eleven of their singles have reached #2 on the charts but yet they've never had a number one. Planning on having many more Ami posts so will have more bio and group info as time goes on.

Hmmmm, huge smile on Ami's face which must mean Nao is on the other end of the line! On to a lot of various activities from the past year and as mentioned there will be many more posts for her coming up with current and older happenings. Ami is now turning towards acting and has been in a couple of things the past few years. A new film she's in is called "Cinema Fighters" which was had it's premiere on the 26th at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills.
There's six mini segments in the film, Ami has the lead role in her segment which is titled 'Colorless Clothes Store'. Dream/E-Girls are part of the Exile stable and Hiro from the group was the producer of the film while Akira stars in one of the segments. Pics here are from Friday's premiere as Ami's hair isn't as blond as it usually is.

That less-than-blond shade is very recent as Ami's hair color was what fans have been used to seeing in these interview pics for the film from three web sites as she was dressed the same for all of them.

Really fine pics here that came out in December for Minuet, her kawaii level is off the charts....

Final Ami tidbit for today, may not seem like many things but there were over sixty ultra superb pics. On March 15th last year Ami was at a inauguration ceremony for Dam Channel TV as she was chosen as their 14th monthly MC. She's hosting a karaoke show which began in April and for Ami's next post will try to hunt down a video of the show. Plenty of fine looking Ami pics here from the ceremony followed by a short video of it.

  2. E-Girls tunes are definitely fun and upbeat, Ami's solo ones are good though could use a jolt of energy. Did check out Sayaka who does look oki doki but there's not all that much about her to post about.
