Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Rena Kato: A little bit of this and that....

Kind of shocked how many Rena fans are out there though she is one of the more likable current AKB members. Her first solo post ever was last Friday and it was the most viewed one of the week, she topped many other popular gals who have had posts since then. Rena will be turning 21 in July but thought she was a few years older than that, she seemed to be a popular member rather quickly.

The year of 2017 was a rather quiet one for Rena. She became an exclusive model for the Sweet magazine but that was the only mag she had any solo posts in. Actually so many of the '48' family have been appearing in less mag spreads the past few years as Nogi has dominated them. However Rena's first post had four(?) new ones and do have a pair today. Both are promoting her first photobook which came out two days ago. Rena looks so Ja-ba-ja in them it's a shame the sets are so small such as this first one from WPB #15.

Another four page spread which is from the April 10th edition of Flash, first few pics are of Rena with the mag from her Instagram account.

Title of Rena's first PB is "Dareka no shiwasa". Pics for it were shot in London and Hawaii, have many promo and outtake pics here from it which looks to be a superb book.

On March 28th which was the release date for the PB Rena held a fan meeting session at the Fukuya bookstore in Shinjuku. No clue if it's expected to be a huge seller but think it would hit #1 on the Oricon chart as no other Idols had a book come out this week. Plenty of pics here from the event followed by a video of it.
