Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Miru Shiroma: Pair of new mag spreads and slightly more....

Bit of a mini post as there's really just the two new mag spreads and not much else but didn't want the sets to get dated. At the top, besides those jaw-dropping pics, is the PV for NMB's 20th single "Tokonoma Seiza Musume", an okay tune but they've had better songs. It was released on February 20th and naturally topped the Oricon charts selling 196, 592 copies in it's first week. However it's only the second single ever for NMB not to break 200 K in it's first week, second week sales haven't been released but looking at the daily charts it probably ranked about eighth for the week.
Don't have the stats to back it up but sometimes wonder how they or HKT make the head of '48' groups any money selling around 250-300,000 copies. Sure that's a huge number if you're a Hello Project group but most of them only have 7-10 members while NMB has over forty so their costs must be immense. Thinking of salaries, clothing, food, uniforms, security and many other things, wonder if there's a site which breaks down the numbers on the group's income/expenses as I'm kind of curious and bet a few other fans may be too.

Hmmmm, speaking of figures not many Idols these days can top Miru's and she may have finally made my top five for current Idols. She was the center for the new single, would have been a perfect time for her first photobook as so many other groups time those books around their releases. Certainly not Miru's fault the single hasn't been a massive seller, one other reason for the lowish sales is there didn't seem to be a lot of promoting for it as there's been very few mag spreads for the group plus no kinds of promo events, also graduations have had a huge impact.
As mentioned this is not as big of a Miru post as I'd like, others too will wish it was as though she may not be hugely popular in Japan these days she is here and is one of the more popular Idols by far. Enough rambling, after doing two drama recaps can't stop the words from flowing out. Have a few new cards here for 2019 along with the cover of the new single.

Know Miru is such an incredibly hot woman but she also is such a likable person plus she's quite funny. Would like to see her in some sort of drama, a comedy may be a good bet but she did play a tough gal quite well in the "Cabasuka Gakuen" drama. Miru is quite an excellent Instagram poster though this past month she hasn't uploaded high quality pics like she usually does.

NMB has been playing many concerts and has been on many music shows lately so will have a clip or two in their next post. NMB hails from Osaka and performed their new single on February 22nd as their hometown soccer team faced off against Kobe in their J-League opener.

NMB will be on the cover of the next Kansai Walker magazine, she was joined by her mate Rina to promote it with an interview at the Walker Plus site.

Lot of 'Walker' things in Japan, about four mags and a website. First of two mag spreads is this fairly big set from the February 16th issue of Tokyo Walker Plus.

The final spread is one that I just couldn't remember if it had been posted before, part of me says yes but then again most of my brain says no which may mean it has been posted! But couldn't just have  a post with one spread so will end off with this terrific set from the January edition of Entame, Miru will also be the cover girl for their April issue. No new videos but after the pics have a superb one from Miru's Young Champion #8 2018 photo shoot.
