Start Date: January 14/16 as it aired on both the MBS and TBS networks

Listed the characters this way for the "Re:Mind" drama and thought it's be a good idea to do it once again. Video at the top is a short promo one for this show. This series still reminds me so much of 'Liar Game' and there aren't many dramas better than that one, lets get to the characters and these are the main ones that will be featured.

Minami Habe as Yumeko Jabami.... transfer student who is addicted to gambling

Aoi Morikawa as Mary Saotome.... The evilist of students who gets severely humbled

Mahiro Takasugi as Ryota Suzui.... wimpy guy who befriends Yumeko

Ruka Matsuda as Itsuki Sumeragi.... Richest student at Hyakkaou Academy

Taishi Nakagawa as Kaeda Manyuda.... Student council member

Natsume Mito as Runa Yomozuki.... Student council member

Kiyo Matsumoto as Nanami Tsubomi.... we finally meet her in this episode

Natsumi Okamoto as Yuriko Nishinotoin.... student council gambler

Yuma Yamato as Jun Kiwatari.... school bully

Yurika Nakamura as Sayaka Igarashi.... student council member

Miki Yanagi as Midari Ikishima.... First meet her in episode eight

Five recaps down and five to go, hope everyone isn't getting too tired of reading these but at least they're much shorter than regular length drama recaps are. Once again it's a two part game with this episode featuring part one and also once again it's a chance for a 'house pet' to change their status.
At the end of the fifth episode our heroine Yumeko had found herself with a massive debt of 310 million yen(!). She lost a very high stakes game and even though she knows that cheating led to her defeat for the time being she's keeping her mouth closed. Before the game began two of the school's biggest losers, Yumeko and Mary, have received orders on what will happen if they don't pay off their huge debts before graduation.

Both students have had their entire lives planned out for them... who they'll get married to, when they'll have children, etc. Mary is furious and goes storming to the student council to protest but her complaints fall upon deaf ears. Meanwhile Yumeko just shrugs off what the council has told her what her future plans will be, she still has confidence she'll soon be out of debt which seems impossible.
But the council has arranged another game for 'house pets' to get out of debt which is called the 'Great Debt Repayment Plan'. It's another card game which will consist of four players, most students sign up for the game and seeing as how Yumeko and Mary are the two biggest in debt they'll be playing in the same game. Joining them is a student who we've seen often but hardly ever utters a word, her name is Nanami who has a debt of about 40 million yen and is such a quiet and timid girl.

Above is the fourth player and not quite sure why he's in the game. His name is Kiwatari and he's the biggest bully in school as he's so relentless on those who have become 'house pets'. From what I gathered he took the place of a friend, if Kiwatari loses money he could become a 'house pet' but he's 100% positive that he'll win the game, think the main reason for him playing is to shame the three other 'house pets' even more.
Simple card game of ten hands will be played, all of the face cards have been taken out leaving forty cards. One is dealt face down which only the player can see, the other is also dealt face down but you put it on your forehead meaning you can't see it but your opponents can. So from knowing one card of your own and one card of the other players you bet on what you may have or what your opponent doesn't. Even though it's only two cards flushes count with the highest hand being a pair.
All players were given ten chips but they're all of different value. Yumeko owes 310 million yen so each of her chips is worth 31 million yen while each of Mary's chips is worth close to five million. Once you win another player's chip(s) you can bet with those, in the case of Yumeko she risks quite a bit making a raise versus any of the other players.

The official name of the game is 'Two Card Indian Poker' and hopefully the rules were easy enough to understand as it is an easy game. Like I've mentioned in the previous few recaps the scenes get stretched out a bit for maximum intensity and this episode was no different as just two hands ended up being played. One other major thing the players are allowed to do is cheat, it's okay if they have a partner and can flash signs to each other on what card they have buried. The moderator for the game was the council member Sayaka, had seen her often but wasn't positive until now what her role was.
On to the first hand of the ten round game and as usual Yumeko comes out fighting. When Kiwatari bets four of his own chips worth about 4 million Yumeko calls him, her four chips are worth 124 million so it's definitely harder for her to gamble recklessly. But as you can see above she shut the bully Kiwatari up as she had a two card flush, a win but Yumeko needs to keep winning as her debt is just so massive.
Time for one more hand for the quartet and this time the winning hand stays with a 'house pet' much to the fury of Kiwatari who goes into such a rage when he loses. This time the winner was Mary and she bet so heavy she forced Kiwatari to fold. But then in a triumphant manner Mary showed him her hand which was pitiful, she had bluffed him which made Kiwatari fly into a much greater rage for he would have won the hand. As high as his anger is at this point it somehow increases ten fold for the next episode as this show after the two hands came to it's end.

Mainly just been giving a play by play account up until now but every episode has been an enjoyable watch and have a feeling the last pair of shows could be the best ones. The conclusion to this game is in the next post and it ended being such an intense game with an outcome you would never think of.
